Hello,

I origianlly purchased Dragon Age for XBox360 last week but my XBox died shortly after; which was shortly after I purchased the "Warden's Keep" DLC and redeemed "The Stone Prisoner".  I decided to pick up Dragon Age for PC instead of replacing my XBox but I can not download my previously purchased or redeemed content.

I attempted to enter in my original codes as instructed and I was told that the content had already been redeemed.  I understand I could use the new codes that came with my PC copy but I will be giving my XBox copy to a friend and would like to give the extra codes away with the game as well.

If you sign in using the same account that you made on the 360, can't you just access the DLC on the PC? If you can, then you can just give your codes you got in the PC version to your friend to use when he makes an account through the Xbox 360.

Did you have an account number you had to type in for the 360 version?  If so, I guess you could have issues giving the 360 version to your friend since it would be tied to your Bioware account.

Is this possible?

The platforms are different. What you purchase for the PC, does not transfer to the 360, or the PS3, and vice-versa.

Pretty sure that is incorrect.  It should all show up under your account no matter what version you are using.  I specifically remember them saying this was the case for those that wanted Dragon Age on the PC but wanted to continue their Mass Effect game on the 360 due to having the first one on 360, while not missing out on the armor.

Considering "they" just stated the opposite of what you said in the post that you quoted...

I'm not sure how you redeem things on the Xbox, but coundn't give your Xbox Dragon age account(unless you have other registered games?) to the person as well, and he could reinstall the DLC(since it should already redeemed) through that account, and you could make a new one for the PC?

The redemption processes on the Xbox was different than the PC. On the Xbox all you do is click on the DLC in game and it brings up the Xbox Marketplace download screen. You have the option of then buying the content or entering in a redemption code which is on the paper that was with the game.

After installing the PC version of DA:O I logged into the Bioware site and attempted to re-register 'The Stone Prisoner' with the original XBox code and it said that code had already been used once. 'The Stone Prisoner' still shows up in my account under 'My Content' but only for the XBox360. This would leave me to believe that the codes are not different between Xbox, PC and PS3.

I'm a full supporter of micro transactions and DLC but not when I as the customer am penalized in such a fashion for changing platforms. I can see no technical reason why DLC content can't be shard between platforms; but I am not a developer so I digress on that topic. However, it can't be that much work invovled between the platforms to justify charging an honest paying customer twice for the same product.

I'll admit I didn't even realize he has the BioWare title under his name.

That being said, it doesn't change the fact that they previously stated that you would be able to share the Mass Effect Bonus content between different platforms, so I don't see why the other stuff couldn't be shared since it's all on the same account.  Now maybe they changed this stance since the post was made a few months ago, I don't know.  If that's the case, I imagine a lot of people are going to be pissed that assumed you could purchase DAO for the PC and use the Mass Effect bonus content on the 360.  Here is the thread I am referring to, and I'll quote the actual part about the ME2 bonus content.

To clarify, anyone that purchases a new copy of Dragon Age: Origins
(original or Collector’s Edition, via pre-order or at launch, digital
download or retail) will receive a code to download the Blood Dragon
Armor, a set of themed armor that will give the player additional
protection in combat. This armor will be available in Dragon Age:
Origins on any platform. It can be used in both Dragon Age: Origins and
Mass Effect 2. The armor is platform agnostic – meaning, for example,
if someone buys the PC version of Dragon Age: Origins they will be able
to download the armor for every available platform of Mass Effect 2.

I don't see how just the armor would be able to move to whatever platform while other DLC can't.

I am in the same situation as well. I have all the content on my xbox version but playing the pc version. I am not going to buy DLC again for the pc when I have already purchased it for xbox. Has anyone found out if this can be remedied?

If I'm reading this right: You get a code, this code can be used twice. Once on a single platform version of DA:O. Once on a single platform version of ME2.

So you can use it on PC DA:O and PS3 ME2, but once used the armor is locked into those platforms choices for either game.
