How many of you pay 50,000 platinum to get rid of your facial scars, and do you think they fit with this type of game?

1. Every single Shepard

2. The scars were outright retarded.

I thought the scars were neat at first, and then I got bored of them, so I had 'em removed.

Never really had a problem with the scars (Played mainly as a paragon). Kinda liked how your corruption was plastered all over your face.

And don't chicks digg scars anyway?

I didn't see the point of them in ME2. After a major overhaul inside out it was more cosmetic than anything. The best scar was the one Wrex had it obviously happened after a major scrap and added to his character, saying that how he got it you don't know could have been a varren. The fact that Garrus was scarred by mercs in omega, after everything he did. Short straw maybe.

I'll get the machine just for the heck of it, but it'll be last when I'm not worried about using up 50k platinum and I've yet to use it once.

The first time I played ME2 I got it. I didn't need it because I had no scars. I thought we'd all die if I didn't buy everything. Now I know better..

I bought the machine on my first playthrough, but only because I hoped Garrus would be able to use it. I expected to play Paragon and heal my scars naturally and that's how it turned out.

I dig scars, but ones that glow from the inside out?
I think I'll pass.

Very true. Should have just kept the original Mass Effect scars.

I loved my scar from ME1.  I always admired it during the cutscenes.

Yeah, the facial scars depending on your alignment (Paragon/Renegade) felt out of place in ME. It's pretty obvious that Bioware was trying to emulate the light/dark side alignment from KotOR.

Better to see some kind of form of corruption rather then stupid "Tentacle Shadowzz"

It felt weird. Some characters it fit, others it didn't. Honestly, I would have liked to have seen blue glowing scars for paragons too, or just to scrap the idea altogether. It seems weird that one side keeps the scars and the other doesn't.

Exactly. I think Paragons who dont use the machine should still have the scars but they look more like ME1's realistic scars and Renegades should get the Terminator ones.

It makes more sense anyways.

I really liked the scars and the glowing eyes. And I play female Sheps mostly. What is retarded is that no one reacts to them in any way. Or to Shepard's change of appearance should he change his way of looking in ME2.Or that everyone recognizes you despite wearing a helmet. Sure the voice can give you away a bit but come on.

I agree with the fact no one comments on your face. Maybe they are worried about the cain strapped to your back. LOL

I look at the facial reconstruction this way, just because you change how you look in ME2 it retcons you to have looked that way in ME1. They mention explicitly they put you back together as you were. It is just a neat option for players to utilize.

I'm just curious if keeping the scars as a full-on Renegade (meaning not using the machine) will have any impact in Shepard's appearance in ME3, or if they'll just magically go away at the beginning of the game.

NPC: Hey Commander! Didnt you have scars that made your face look like it was gonna fall off?

Shep: Yep.

NPC: What happened to those?

Shep: They got better...

I play as mostly paragon so I never wasted resources on it.

I wish I had the ability to edit my Shepard's face and add a minor scar, as that would make sense.

But you can't, and the glowing lava scars look ridiculous, IMO. Just because someone wants to be renegade doesn't mean they should look like the Terminator after a fight.

renegade shep needs some terminator inspired lines.

"ah'll be back."

"ah need your clothes, boots, and your hammerhead."

I would have paid more to get the ME1 scars back. They gave better personalities to my Shepards.

I loved that too.

I hope we get the option to do, plastic surgery (aka character creator) in ME3.  Maybe our glowing red renegade scars can become like ME1 scars if we wish.

I like them on my uber-renegade FemShep though.

This, even if you don't want scars.

It sucks having to start reconstructing my Shepard's' faces with Character Creator all over again just to get the face code, change the nose, jaw, or even makeup.  <_<

Scars are stupid and don't belong. Their in game explanation was even more stupid. Looking like a cyborg should be an option, but it should not be forced on players because Bioware says they're EVIIILLL.
