I'm curious about how the expansions work. I have only played Origins so far, but have the Ultimate Edition (so access to all expansions). I have the same hard drive I've had for years, seeing as it still works, I refuse to part with it. I have only a small amount of GB that I must use to it's fullest potential. Right now Origins and the expansions are taking up almost 5 GB.

My questions is, if I haven't yet touched the expansions and want to delete them for the time being to gain space, would it hurt my main game at all or my ability to import my character into the expansions.

All downloads within the main game would not be deleted, just the outside expansions.

Any advice would be great.

I think you might run the risk of the whole 'missing dlc' thing. In which case, as a worst case scenario, the game won't let you start any game.

If you really haven't played the 'expansions' as you call them, then it might be possible to delete the ones that are not accessed through Origins itself; i.e. Darkspawn Chronicles, Leliana's Song, Golems of Amgarrak, and Witch Hunt. Do not even try to delete Warden's Keep, or Return to Ostagar because they are a part of Origins and will mess things up.

Please note that I am only speculating.

In all honesty (sounds like you have a 20 GB HD) I think deleting all the DA installation (except save games obviously) would be safer so you have the free space to install whatever you want; then delete and reinstall when you want to play DA again.
