 Hey can anyone tell me if I screwed up the Miranda romance option? My dialogue choices are posted below. Also is it possible to get the Paramour Trophy/Achievement after the final Mission? Urgh I don't want to have to replay the game just because I made a stupid mistake....if it helps I am 100% paragon!  

Miranda: Commander. What can I do for you?
Can we talk?
Shepard: Do you have a minute, Miranda?
Miranda: Of course. I'd been meaning to speak with you, in fact.
Miranda and Shepard sit on the couch near Miranda's bed.
Miranda: I... wanted to apologize. I didn't fully believe you'd be up to the task. And it seems I was wrong.
Miranda: Frankly, based on what I've seen, I wish Cerberus had recruited you earlier.
Why do you like Cerberus?
Shepard: With your intelligence, you could have landed any job you wanted. Why choose this?
Miranda: Because I still envy the time Mordin spent with the Special Tasks Group, working with people as smart as he was.
Miranda: Cerberus never tells me that something is impossible. They give me my resources and say, "Do it."
Miranda: And they've given you even more. A new life, a new ship, the Illusive Man's personal attention...
You sound unhappy.
Shepard: What, you disapprove?
Miranda: No! I'm just impressed. You're... well, look at you.
Miranda: A spacer kid, educated with on-ship tutorials, no strong foundation for stability...
Miranda gets up and walks over to the window.
Miranda: And you've done more than I could. Despite everything my father did to make me perfect, you're... you're the best humanity has to offer.
Renegade: +2
You always bring that up.
Shepard: You always bring up your genetic tailoring. It really bothers you, doesn't it?
Paragon: +2
Shepard gets up off the couch and walks towards Miranda.
Miranda: This is what I am, Shepard. I can't hide it. The intelligence, the looks, even the biotics... he paid for all of that.
Shepard stands behind Miranda.
Miranda: Every one of your accomplishments is due to your skill. The only things I can take credit for are my mistakes.
I'm sorry you feel that way.
Shepard: That's a tough feeling to live with. Maybe after we save the galaxy, you'll change your mind.
Miranda turns to face Shepard.
Miranda: We can hope. Thanks for coming by, Shepard. I appreciate it.
Miranda walks back to her desk.

Nooooo.... this is very sad news. Looks like Tali will have to do. Dammit and I was working so hard on this aspect of the game. I mean how is "I'm sorry you feel that way" a conversation ender? Perfect place to input a compliment if you ask me.... Thanks for your quick response Cousland001!

if u use same character for another playthru, love interests reset, i think.

Being all "awwww I'm sorry you're all hawt and stuff life sucks huh?" wont get her.





If you do restart her relationship once you get to the "love" conversation you'll find out very quickly how different her romance is then Tali's.

So will this new file override my previous game? Don't know how the Xbox 360 saves its files, but the PS3 only gets one slot for ME2....

no it opens a whole new career

you just have to load it from the main screen

Alternatively, if something like this happens in the future, Load the "Restart Mission" or "Autosave" option as soon as possible. Better yet, do a Quick Save before you start talking to a Love Interest, just in case you mess something up.

Okay cool so when Mass Effect 3 comes around will I have the option to choose between the two saved data? This whole situation sucks because I have put 40+ hours into the game only to find that a vital decision made was screwed over by an unclear (at least for me) dialogue option.

yes it should be the same as the transfer between Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2

Get Gibbeds ME2 save editor (search that google or whatever you use) and you can edit romance flags. Use at your own risk of course. I don't think changing flags would do anything bad for a save for ME3.

In order to continue the romance you have to choose either "You're hard  to compliment," or "You're jealous" instead of "I'm sorry feel that way."

If you choose "you're jealous" Shep gets into a brief argument with Miranda that ends up being resolved with the two characters kissing.

Hey I forgot to mention that I haven't done the IFF reaper mission yet! Does this change anything?

Ugh than you for your response... I really want this romance to carry over in Mass Effect 3! I don't know if I want to replay the whole game and do all the side-quests again just to correct one mistake. Wish I had researched this further before hitting the point on no return....
