2 spoilers I accidently read and hated:

In Dexter season 4, finding out Rita dies :( sadness.

In Lost, finding out Boone dies (this one was a long time ago right enough)

In Dexter, I saw the season 5 trailers before I saw season 4 so I knew Rita died all along, I just didn't know who dunnit.  They made the trailer so it would look like Dexter did it if you hadn't seen the last season.

My "best" friend ruined the ending for red dead redemption for me. His excuse was "well... I thought you weren't going to play it!"

Some jerk on the GameFAQs forums spoiled two of the major story events in Jade Empire for me while I was still early in the game.  He literally just put the two spoilers in his topic title, and the post itself said nothing else.

The post was deleted by moderators pretty quickly, but not before the damage had been done for me.  :(  Now I tend to avoid message boards for games I'm playing until I've finished them, unless I really need help with something.

While watching Live and Let Die, one of the other ticket holders kept yelling spoilers thoughout the film. It was irritating, but as he was obviously mentally disabled, you also felt his enthusiam for his hero and the series.

That sounds pretty hillarious actually, not like that movie had much to spoil in the first place. It was a fairly predicable Bond movie.  Now I would have been mad if he spoiled On Her Majesty's Secret Service.Posted Image

Anyway, I've had plenty spoiled for me.  For games, the worst was Metal Gear Solid 2.  Hey, you know you don't play the whole game as Snake right?  Gee, thanks for spoiling that, I haven't got that far yet.Posted Image
I also had the endings of Red Dead Redemption and Final Fantasy X spoiled.Posted Image

As far as movies go, nothing major stands out.

A long long time ago in a galaxy far away I was playing Ocarina of Time for the very first time in my life. Unfortunately my friend spoiled the whole time-warp mechanic for me before I even picked up the game. Now I know that was a key gameplay mechanic, but imagine playing the game without ever knowing about that...It'd be amazing, wouldn't it?

When Stanley Woo let it slip that there was going to be rideable Rainbow Unicorns and the main villain was going to be a 50 foot high stay puff marshmallow man in Dragon Age 2.

For me, Final Fantasy VII.

I unfortunately knew about Aeries' death in Final Fantasy VII long before the game was released in the USA(thanks a lot internet).

This. I was still a little surprised though because tradiotnally, video game character deathes came towards the end of the game to make it more climatic. Or at the very beginning. I was very surprised when in the very middle of the game she kicked the bucket. All I was thinking was, woah, wait a minute, isn't this supposed to happen later? I still have two more discs!

In Suikoden 5

I was looking up all the recuitable members you can get because it's so easy to miss several and there are 108 people to "collect". In the process I learned that Sialeeds betrays the party because she is in love with Gizel.
