just finished my playthru clocking 55hours+. did ALL the missions and scanned all ALL the planets. basically did everything. no freezes, no corrupt save(thank god), i followed what they suggested, restart the game every few hours(for me its 2-4hours).

there were some minor glitches, but none of them gamebreaking. hope the patch will be up soon.

EDIT : p.s. i'm on a ps3 slim 120g.

My first playthrough was exactly the same, about 50 hours and everything went fine though I didn't follow the suggested action of restarts every few hours. The first day I spent nearly 12 hours straight on it.

Then I started my insanity run then I ran into my first problem around 12 hours in, constant freezing and I can't progress.

why do we have to wait for sony to approve the patch??, surely its Biowares game they can do what they like with it

Played the hell out of it for nearly a week, I lack the required devotion for create mode and there is only so many community levels I can enjoy without the core mechanics of the game repeating themselves.

It isn't "sad" at all, I would simply just rather spend my time playing ME2 right now. I'm always going to return to LBP monthly to see what new community creations there are.

How are the core mechanics repeating themselves in the community area when many are almost perfectly replicating other games? Each one is completely different and in many cases you wouldn't even know it was running through LBP2.Whatever, I don't really have time to argue with people that don't know what they're talking about.

You don't have time yet here you are.

I'll admit there is some amazing replications, but once I've played them I've played them. There really isn't that many replications anyway! There is only so much jumping, grabbing, paint gunning and bubble popping I can do.

Chill out mate it's just my opinion.

I love the game and I'll be returning to it monthly like I said. You just need to calm down and respect my point of view as I do yours.

I hope Sony make it available today on the PSstore update.(probably not)
At least today starts the KZ3 Open Beta... then i will have something else to do than just staying all day here on the Forum.

Perhaps, but it doesn't take much to post forum updates. It isn't hard and it would silence alot of annoyed gamers.

It would be great if someone from Bioware would just give us a quick update as to the expected patch release.

If Bioware is already hard at work on fixing the other issues like overlord and audio issues then i would rather have that then an update, the patch will get here when it gets here patience guys. Also they are hard at work on mass effect 3 so it is not like Bioware has every second of the day to be on here it will come guys just relax.

Silence could also mean they have nothing new to report. In other words they haven't fixed anything and thus haven't sent anything to Sony. Not to be overly negative but  they've ignored serious bugs on the 360 version so I have my doubts they'll treat PS3 customers any better. They responded fairly quickly, but I feel like that was just damage control to prevent bad press.

My suggestion is to backup your saves religiously and don't expect the patch to come and/or fix your problems.

it's not only the fact of have backup files... it's also a question of not damaging my ps3. I repeat, it's not only freezing the game, but the entire ps3.

There's been many games that have locked up the entire system forcing a hard reboot. I'd say percentages are low that it will do any real damage to the system itself.

happened to me only with Fallout 3 and ME2.

All others never crashed my ps3.



Fallout 3 was on a day one ps3 (60Gb), and i had then to buy a new one.... i hope this will not happen again. ;/

I've played for 35 hours and have not had many problems. It froze on me twice but that was quite some time ago (maybe 10-15 hour range) and no save corruption. Now I've not seen anymore problems as far as that is concerned. Right now I just make a copy of my save file after every couple missions (or one giant mission), which works for me since I'm taken away from the game every couple hours. There are many other glitches in the game, but nothing that has corrupted my save file. I count myself lucky.

I own a 80GB non BC version of the PS3. I also upgraded the HD to 320GB

Not sure why the game freezes for some people at 10 minutes and for other not at all.

I chalk it up to Biowares inexperience with the PS3. I'm getting nervous for Dragon Age 2. Will the graphics suffer? Will there be massive slowdown like in the first one? Will there be freezing? I hope they are taking notes on all these things and making sure it doesn't happen to their future titles. I'd rather have a delayed game then a broken one that needs patches.
