I am all for them taking their time to get it done RIGHT, not something halfassed.  And for all we know they could be done with it and it's in Sony's hands and it's just getting finished up.  We just don't know and the unknown tends to make people more nervous.

I agree, but an update would be nice.  I'd also like to know if they're for the idea of patching the game to allow it to create normal PS3 save files so that any further corruption bugs will be MUCH less of an issue.  As I understand it, it's all under one global file.  Meaning, you corrupt one save, you corrupt them all.

yeah nothing. Sony makes me cry at times with their certifying bs.

Are you 100% certain that BIOWARE sent it to Sony already? I think it's BS that you blame Sony for a BIOWARE issue without ZERO CONFIRMATION that they fixed the damn thing yet.

Most of you here are the biggest bunch of whiners I've seen in a while., my god.

Also maybe you guys are unaware of hiw things work, but Patches are rarely if ever posted in the Store Update blog posts. They just appear when you start up the game. Expecting it in a PS Blog post is rather silly

Uh, obviously I saw that. since that's the first post of this thread. What does that prove? Where did they say they will definitely complete it on Friday? Nowhere. It's an ASSumption made by people here. There's zero proof they completed it already,  and thus zero proof that anything was sent to Sony. Some of you people are hanging on every  little word from Bioware as if God was speaking to you.

I said the same thing about six pages back. It is very easy to just blame Sony. The fact that no one from bioware posted here saying the patch is away, makes me pretty sure Sony doesnt have it yet. Either way stop posting misinformation like that in a technical support thread.

That was not the patch that was just because EA changed something to the terms of agreement and you have to accept it to connect to the ea servers. This has nothing to do with a patch, the patch will have its own screen that will pop up as soon as you start the game up; if your PS3 is connected to the internet that is. Currently, nothing has changed with the game and no patch has been released.

Guy's I'm not Making this Up, you need to start a new game for the patch to work,I know That alot of you may be mad about this But I'm in the same hole as you people here and I read in this forums that that just how games get updated, however You don't need to delete your game install or add ons just the last saved game,

Provide a link to where someone from Bioware stated this then i will believe you. I have never had to do this to get a patch to work in any other game.  If your file was corrupted maybe you will have to delete those and start a new game but not if your current save is fine.

here are the details. From What I can see they are talking about Corrupted Data But I could Swear I seen some where that some1 said u had to start a new game for the patch to work But If I am wrong Then I'm sorry for the mistake on info

The theory goes that if you have backups from BEFORE the corruption, you can delete all ME2 data off your hard drive (including the corrupted save file) then reinstall and copy your backup back, this will theoretically then load up.

Please test it as this might help a couple of people!

Oh you don't need to remove all your data, just the save data. The DLC shouldn't be affected as we don't have 'write permissions' to any area outside of the system cache and the save area.

So you're making baseless claims based on some member's "theory"?  Does that person work for Bioware? It'd be absolutely idiotic to think the patch wouldn't work with existing saves, you know, like every other game that gets patched.

You'd think you were new to games or something. Please don't state things as fact when they're coming from some random guy's theories.

I doubt that, though it would be a great touch. But the reality is that most ps3 players wont even be aware of her existence within the story. It's shame the comic wasn't a little deeper.

the problem I have is that every time I finished talking to the Krogan sharmen for the rite of passage (grunts Side quest), My Playstation pops up a message say game data corrupted delete game data to play the game. My saves are not corrupted and there no visable corrupted file/s on my ps3, and I can still use the game save upto the same point. Its a very confusing situation.Image IPB

I'm beginning to think Bioware's silence on the patch means they haven't sent it off to Sony yet. If it takes time guys, just let us know,

you can't leave us waiting like this, it's rude lol

Again, They said they would update us when the patch is available not when they gave it to Sony so they have not done anything rude yet lol.

that's not how it has to be.

I am in a transport firm, and if a customer asks me when the loyer will arrive, i cannot answere them: " i'll call you when he is at your warehouse ". They see it already when he is there !!

I have to tell my customers where the driver aktually IS, and when exactly it will arrive to their warehouse.

It seems a lot of people never worked in his life, when i see some strange (if not stupid) posts.
