But does your post mean the patch is currently in verification? Even if it is not, I would understand because the patch needs be made well.
And I just need to say thanks again, I was beginning to feel a bit abandoned

Thanks for the post Jack, I'm sure you calmed a lot of people down.

No offense to Jack, but he doesn't know anything about the current patch situation. He's working on ME3 and is speaking in general terms about how the patching process works. I'm sure he still put people at ease, since someone from Bioware actually acknowledged the amount of complaints about it, but he doesn't (and won't) have anything new to update about this patch.

Anyway, the patch is coming, but in the meantime there's a workaround. There's nothing else that really needs to be known.

Because you asked so nicely, here's a post.
I don't really have any news though.
(I'm working on Mass Effect 3 at the moment, so I'm not entirely in the loop)
Folks should just keep in mind that patches take time to make and pass certification.
On the Xbox I once had a patch in certification for several weeks, and that was without any resubmissions.
Generally patch certification is pretty fast but the speed is a bit variable depending on what's being patched, what else is going through cert, if any resubmissions need to occur, etc.
I understand the frustration (I've lost many hundreds of hours from destroyed saves in games I've played over the past couple decades), but please have patience.
The commitment to release a patch was made, and patch notes listed.
It's just a matter of time.
How's ME3 coming along by the way, you guys gonna show us anything soonish?

I don't mind that it's taking longer than expected, hell I'd have expected it to take months really. And I'd certainly prefer you guys did this right than fast, but we kinda got the idea that something went wrong and yall wanted to sweep the problem under the rug for a moment there.
I can say my problem wasn't simply the lack of updates on the patch, but the fact yall hadn't posted on a tech support forum for over a week. On most forums, I don't think anyone should expect correspondance, but on a tech support forum, at least a little should take place.

You do realize that while you complain about Bioware's lack of correspondence in a thread a Bioware employee started to inform us about the bug and the patch, right? Right??
People man.... wow....
Are you referring to Jack? He didn't inform us about anything.

In any case, this very thread was started by a Bioware employee informing us about the problems, the fix, and acknowledging complaints. It seems ironic to come on this thread and complain that Bioware is ignoring people.

I'm referring to Chris, who began this thread informing us about the bug, the workaround, and the patch. There's nothing much more that needs to be updated. We'll get the patch when we get it. In the meantime, the workaround should work for most people.

Suppose 2 years went by and all we had was that one post by Chris. Would you feel the same way?

That's a ridiculous supposition. A grand total of a week has gone by since Chris's last post before Jack responded today. Relax.
So you refuse to answer the question. It was a straightforward enough question, even if it's extreme. I want to know if your same "it'll get fixed when it's fixed" attitude would still apply. When doesn't that apply then if 2 years is ridiculous. 3 months? 6 months?
