I'm really looking forward to the patch so I don't stress everytime I play the game that it will corrupt. I'm about 30hours into my 2nd Shepard (1st one corrupted, 2nd one completed) and for the life of me I can't put the game down! I guess I should go vote for ME2 since my husband is now an ME2 widower, lol.

@davidsilva DAO is a great game and thoroughly addicting as well. I had been playing it nonstop since its release last year until ME2 came out. Characters are engaging, choices are tough and do affect the outcome, but not based on mathematical equations. There are some interesting and gut-wrenching twists though...

+1 for the Dragon Age praise. If you're a fan of the structure of ME, you're going to love DA...particuarly the supposedly more polished DA:2.

I didn't love Dragon Age: Origins on PS3 due to the choppy-as-hell framerate when there's more than 2 enemies on the screen, incoherent combat, and other problems. But I am in the minority - I love the hours I put into Mass Effect 2 so far, just waiting on that patch, and the further away I get, the less I miss playing it..

The demo for DA2 will need to show me some significant changes to how it handles on a console for me to even consider buying it. I am sure the first Draon Age game was pretty good on a PC, though, and no doubt there are some people who liked it on consoles. I'm just not one of them (and I run Linux on my computers, and I don't keep them up-to-date).

I may be in the minority, but I had very few technical issues with Dragon Age: Origins on PS3. A bit of slowdown from time to time, but nothing that detracted substantially from the overall experience. Combat was the weak point for sure, but supposedly they've made some improvements to that as well.

From what I've seen of DA2, it looks a great deal more polished as far as the presentation. Hopefully that's true of the technical side as well.

I really think the cutscene sound being out of sync needs to be fixed.

Can't bioware/ea demand an update from sony so they can give us an update for when this patch is coming out? Its the least they can do 3 weeks is a long wait even if there is a work around.

But i didn't pay 60 euro's to play a game with a kitchen clock...

Yeah... I really want to buy this game, but I've been remaining patient because I'll sure I'll enjoy the (slightly) improved load times, no fear of corruption and other fixes.

I guess it works out, the game gets a little bit cheaper on Amazon's other sellers list ever day.

dude that made me laugh. not as much as the funniest line of shepard in the game SPOILERS:

Prison Guard: "You need to relinquish your weapons."
Shepard: "I'll relinquish one bullet. Where do you want it?"

However the best line in a conversation was between legion and shepard can you guys guess what it is?

i think i'll wait until the patch to start my NG+ on insanity.

The current patch will probably not fix the NG+ issue. I am sure that will be fixed in the next patch. Bioware has said they are aware of the issue and looking into it, but no mention that the current patch will fix that issue since it requires a full play through of the game in order for them to figure out where the bug lies.

alright, but i really would like that they do another patch for the NG+. i mean you finish the game and then a info appears saying that you can import your charatcer with all the weapons and armor for a 2nd play, and then you dont receive the armors and weapons that blows.

hahahahahaahaha, totally voted for Heavy Rain!

Heavy Rain was a fantastic game. Not for everyone, but probably one of the best and most memorable games I've played. It really drew me in like no other game. ME2 and RDR are both great too, though I haven't finished either yet.

Man, was 2010 awesome or what?

i just found out that the next mass effect wont have the same music composer. i hope that the new guy stays true to the mass effect soundtrack, and that the main theme dont change, it would really be a punch to the stomach if they remove that incredible music on the end run.

Clint Mansell is actually better than whoever composed the first two games.

Is the patch addressing the really bad pixelization on the Overlord stuff?

I do. I would like my game to be as intended. Also the missiles don't lock on either.

thats debatable, because jack wall the composer of the two previous games is specialized in games soundtrack, its an endless list. and the music in mass effect in phenomenal, taking away someting that was with during all the games is to butcher the soul of this masterpiece. i hope they know what their doing, just go to youtube and hit the end run or suicide mission, and tell me that isnt epic. and besides all the great moments in the game are just perfectly synched with the music, the normandy cutcsene "rebirth" at the beggining of the game really lets you in the spirit of seeing it again with a great music at the same time.

Hello! I'm one of the lucky team who has the freesing problem of his save file....yesterday evening i was playing and while i was waiting system upload of one of the Ilium scenario, game freesed and i had to restart my PS3 but with surpirse when i tried to use my save file....it was disapperaed from main menu of ME2, only change i had was re-starting the game from the beguinning with a "New Game" option. Now i really hope this bug will be fixed ASAP as i lost more than 30 hours of game and i really dont like it! Patch has been announced more than 10 days ago so i'm wondering what Bioware is waiting for publishing this bloody patch...sorry for my complaining but i think whom happened same thing can easyly understand my disappointment considering i lost over 30 hours of game!

Seriously? You didn't use all the pre-cautions mentioned on this forum? Disable auto-save, disable internet connection, back-up save files and stop every 2 hours and don't play Shadow Broker (it is laughable really that this is the way I am now playing this otherwise great game).

Bioware has delivered the patch to Sony. They are 'currently' reviewing it...

They have to take the time to play through the whole game to test that NG+ thing out.

Are you saying that none of the Bioware testers ever played the game through to completion, or never kept the save game file? Seriously?

Also there are 500+ people on these forums that could email them a completed save game file in 5 minutes. It's a poor excuse.
