Ah alright.. i wasnt so sure about it. So this patch will be with the PS3 updates then.. Thanks for clarifying that. For some reason i was thinking that it's gona be like some kind of a DLC that you have to download from the PSN once it's released then you have to install it on your game after.

Ok I just finised Shadow Broker and it didnt not corrupt my data, it did slow up here and there. Sometimes it took a while to load, but thats it.

I would say the chances of getting the patch over the weekend is close to zero. I would love to be proven wrong though

So it's been about 3weeks now since the patch was announced (If I Remember correctly)and I have been putting mass effect in my console everyday and Still no update.I'm getting Upset at Sony Because they need to stop BS'ing and Approve that Patch so we can start playing M.E. with no Save corruption and freezes.Let's Move it Sony and stop keeping people waiting..<_<

Haha. By the time the patch comes out, Dragon Age II will already be in stores. Then maybe we'll be waiting for new patches. Ugh. Sorry, sorry. Hopefully DA:2 will be free from nasty bugs.



But yeah, I don't foresee this patch coming out any time soonish.

Sony certification usually takes 5-7 days (weekdays) depending of the time of the year. Sometimes there is just a lot of things coming in and a lot to process. So I guess this is one of those moments. Cheer up, usually microsoft takes twice the time of Sony to process the patch.

gutted, just lost 30 + hours after collectors ship.

didnt know there where problems until i read on this forum.

why havent EA or bioware made us aware that there is a problem????

they could have emailed members or put it on the web page, i would have taken precautions if id known!!

at the moment just wanna use the disk as a frisbee!!

welcome to the club sharky! let me just clarify, in no sort of matter is this thing funny or that i am glad at your predicament but a lot of others, MYSELF included was a victim of this. Not until i lost my 20+ hours of game time did i try to search and check this site for any information about this. And yes, several others too didnt know this issue until it got to them. There's just nothing else to do but wait until the patch is released.. after the few weeks of disappointment and frustration comes the point where you just have to laugh about it.. >_< hmm.. i think i'm gona start playing DA:O again.. maybe make a character that looks like Hawke and name him Hawke hehehe

Oh! and if you have read this whole thread, you could probably do the workaround (not sure which one really works) but the have these suggestions of 1) Dont play for too long or do missions back to back without exiting/restarting your PS3; 2) Make sure you quit game every now and then to make a back up copy to your thumb drive or wherever 3) Play offline, turn off auto save, turn off auto log in to EA -- as for me, i started doing the back up files but decided to stop playing for now since i'v read somewhere that sometimes the back up files doesnt work as well.. so that's that.

thanks + feel sorry for anyone whos lost there saves, i know the frustration will fade + real shame cos its a great game.

im just gonna wait for the patch and hope it solves the problem.

How about they could have used the Cerebus Network, so when you start the game the second computer on the mainscreen shows the varnings and how to take precausion.

I mean its a perfect use of the feature I think, if you have it hooked up to the internet of course.

C'mon guys at least update us, this is beyond rude and ridilious service.
Bought the game nearly 2 weeks ago, it's been good at collecting dust and nothing else, pathetic.

I know they read this kind of stuff and laught but this is the last BioWare game I'm buying 1st hand.
