I don't understand all this "thanking"... I paid 70 euros for this game and I WANT it to be perfect.
So instead of "thanking you" Chris, I say move your ass and get us a patch, right now!!!

Hi, now although I think it is really great you guys came up so soon with a patch... it kinda does not fix all the bugs reported...
In order to have the advertised cinematic expierience there are some other pressing issues:
- audio out of sync
- graphics errors I love the rainbow color one (Veisper -_-")
- shepard dissapearing in conversations
- numerous bug in the overlord DLC (grass textures)[/b]
Will the above be adressed in any coming patch?
I already played the game on PC, but I would like to buy the game for PS3, just to play it on HDTV (I do not have a HDMI output on my PC), and my pals all are kinda disappointed with those technical issues during the cut scenes...
The worst is you can see all those issues when you playing less than the 1st hour of the game.
Another thing: Autosave + EA network = Freeze / some boring slowdown ...

You are partially right but your rudeness wont get you anywhere so i suggest you work on your manners
and trust me they are working on the patch as it seems cause they only want certification.
P.S Why dont you go help them maybe and speed it up?
From your tone i understand that you are capable of delivering much greater service......

Sorry about the tone, it's just because it is so frustrating... I bought the game at day one, and I 'm afraid to start it, because I know that if get the bug the bluray will fly away from my window, since I don't have time to waste to start a game over again.Espada_Andy_2 wrote...

When you talk about "helping them" maybe you don't realize one thing:
We PAY (a lot) for the game, we're not paid to be Bioware's beta testers.
We are the FINAL CONSUMER.
So no thanks, I won't give'em my help. I just want enjoy the game that I paid for.
P.S. I do deliver much greater service, but in my own work area.

As i said..
You are right about the consumer part but nothing is perfect!
There will always be problems and those problems at least from bioware are always addressed!
Just be happy that Bioware isnt acting like Activision does with black ops on ps3.
A game isnt a piece of clothing that u tried out and it fits u!

If BioWare wanted they could simply not deliver the patch and be done with it. Did you read the "Software supplied as-is?" That means that even if it was unplayable and wouldn't even load they would have no need to address. So yes, you should thank them, they have no obligation to patch the game, they do it because they want to provide top notch service.Marcymaru wrote...

I feel EXACTLY the same way as you. But there really isn't much we can do about it, other then wait for a patch. At first glance, I also was thinking to myself, "Why the hell are people acting so nice and all to Bioware on these forums despite the fact they either lost hours of gameplay or simply can't play the game they spent $60 on due to bugs, errors, etc...". But at least the are establishing some type of communaction with the community about these issues and not giving us the silent treatment like some other companies due, (SEGA, I'm looking at you!).
But like I said, I feel your frustration and all, but we can't do anything else but wait and vent it out on fourms, lol. I've myself lost around 15-20 hours and two game saves already, so it's not that bad I guess... I'm just going to play LBP 2 in the mean time, until they release fix for these issues.

Masked Rog - That's a ridiculous comment. Of course they have an obligation to fix it. They won't have a business a year from now if they can't sell DA2 and ME3 due to a shattered reputation. Do you think EA or the shareholders would allow a product to remain in an unplayable state? No business that relies on future product sales can afford to leave an existing product in a condition that "won't even load". Plus there are also laws about selling products that are fit for purpose.

I always find people with overinflated entitlement senses amusing. Why should BioWare be forced to patch a buggy game when you specifically agreed they had no responsibility over the status of the software. Again, do you know what "as-is" means? It means they don't have to patch even if the game is unplayable. This is undisputable, as proven by your lack of response.Marcymaru wrote...

Fitness for purpose is specifically disclaimed. Read the EULAs people, don't just agree then be surprised when companies use the rights you gave them.terrordactyl1 wrote...

Also, when you move about in the environment and pan the camera around, then there is often a lag (for a split second) in the loading of graphics leaving white blank spaces to the sides of the screen. But this is maybe what you're referring to, when you say that the patch will include: "-Slightly improved load times and level streaming."?
From reviews I understand that there is some graphical/performance problems in the DLC episodes. I hope that this will be corrected. The fact that you included the DLC on the disk was a major selling point to me, so it's important that it works right.
Other than that, I really enjoy this wonderful game!

Come to think of it guys: "-Slightly improved load times and level streaming." might well fix the out of sync issue as it is caused by a framerate drop.
I am hoping the level streaming fix above will resolve all the graphic and sound issues we have experienced but am not sure.

Unfortunatly, here to report an issue. After about 2 straight hours of playing, during the Overlord DLC, my game was only broadcasting in purple and green (except for the menu which oddly stayed regular). Saved the game and turned off my PS3, giving it some time to cool. Will edit with whether that fixes it.
Same thing happened to me the other day. I just turned off the ps3 and restarted the mission (since loading my latest save caused it to happen again)
It seems the ps3 version has alot more problems than we thought.

and in general the slowness and lack of polish in the PS3 version is apparent.
Against my better judgment I bought Mass Effect for PS3, although I knew that most probably it would be like all other Unreal Engine ports to the Playstation, inferior.
