After-sales service = ZERO

The last status we got from Bioware was that that patch was in SONY's hands waiting for approval. Also the current patch will not fix the NG+ bug. That was not listed as one of the patches to be fixed at the beginning of this thread.

It can occur anywhere...but many reports state that the Shadow Broker DLC is the worst. To avoid it, one should play no more than 2-3 hours in one go. Also, doing back-ups of your save games onto an usb-stick has been advised.

But still, anything can happen. Just try and pay attention to the game if it suddenly has a drop in  framerate. Then i'd give it a rest.

Hi (again),

are those the only things that you will fix with the "future" patch?
will there not be the NG+ game fix?

pls let us know, as i'm waiting to play the NG+ for the patch, but if there will be not this fix, i'll start the NG+ game to finish the insane play and sell this game early (maybe it is still worth something).

ps: can you please ask Sony to let you know when they will releas the patch... and then replay to us ? Would be really nice from you......................

I'm French and like everybody i still expect that patch since 3 weeks. Is someone have the same probleme as me.



I tried to reach Archangel ( Omega) just after the speech with the Butarian, The game try to load or something and bad freeze. Must turn off the PS3. So i tried to restart a new game from the beginning. But as soon as i tried to came back in Omega to meet archangel the game freeze at the same time.............



Any ideas

the freezing problem is ... a big problem in this game, but there should not be always in the same place. So i suggest you to look at the disc and see if it is clear.

Sometimes also small finger prints can avoid the laser to read a disc. If the disc is allright, then, it's the game.

Killzone 3 Multiplayer Beta just had it's second update.

Mass Effect 2 came out earlier and still doesn't have a patch. ¬_¬

These comparisons with a beta release aren't valid to be fair.   KZ3 is not yet released so in theory is still in test.  Of course it's a lot easier to release beta builds as they wouldn't have to go through the same rigorous QA procedure as maintenance relases for released software.

Apparently Test Drive Unlimited 2 has also had a patch within a couple of days of release...so either Bioware or Sony are not being totally truthful.

As i already told... FIFA 11 ist still waiting for a patch... (and the game was released in Oktober). -- A fake patch came out but was a joke as nothing was really fixing the game... people still wait for an official replay to this fake patch.....

Customer care is not what EA is able to do... and it seams that they are right... as people (me too) still buy theyr games.
Well, FIFA 11 is now really at a bad level, so i can try to go back to PES next year, but i have no chance to find a different "Mass Effect 3" game...

They know it... they know we will all buy theyr games again.

I will say one thing it makes you apericate a glitch free game. No freezes no frame rate slow downs. Trade it in for Dead space 2. Bioware can put a team together to figure why they have no repeat customers. It's a shame too really good game. In the future I will check a developers track record for patchs

Yeah, this is pretty ridiculous. I understand it's in Sony's court but it'd be nice if someone could contact them to check on why exactly it's taking so long to get this certified. I think New Vegas had it's first patch within a week and a half. I'd at least like to play this again before Dragon Age 2 comes out.

We'r actually 3 days from being a month now. Well, I guess we subtract the first week coz that's when everybody found out about the bugs.. But by my count, i'd say it's our first 'monthsary' and I feel like i'v bonded with all of you. XD haha we family!

I've been checking this thread daily for updates and it's a real pity there isn't more information available. As soon as I heard about the issues pertaining to corrupted data and game crashes I started reloading my game every 2 hours and backing up my save file onto a USB stick every couple of missions. Basically, I'm following the advice on the first page of this thread.

That said, I had my first crash midway through Dossier: The Assassin last night after roughly 45 minutes of play. I did have autosave on and was connected to EA servers so that might have had something to do with it. All I had done before going to Ilium was talk to all my shipmates and drop off an assignment at Omega(Packages for Ish). Thankfully when I logged back in my data wasn't corrupted and I'm able to continue but regardless, I've turned off my game and haven't continued since. I've read in this thread and others around the net some people are saying this corruption issue has required their entire PS3 hard drives to be formatted and I don't want to go through that for a game, even one as damn excellent as ME2. Having a crash after 45 minutes of play is pretty lame and really shows there's nothing you can do to prevent it, it seems.

I have a couple questions. If my data gets corrupted, is my save file on the USB even usable? Do I have to uninstall everything ME2 and reinstall to fix it? Will my career be gone regardless of whether I backed up to USB?

I'd like to give you guys more information but I don't really have any.

The patch was delivered to Sony for certification.

It will eventually make it out of the certification process but I don't know when exactly that will be.

so Sony was not able to tell you when they will releas it?
Also Sony has no good customer care....
