BTW... I bought MvC3 today. TRU had a $15 card with purchase.
Sorry guys, I guess you won't see me around anymore.

Just because it freezes in the same spot doesn't mean your disc is defective. My game freezes in the same spot, but on my first playthrough, it worked fine.
Hi
i'm agree with you, in what spot your game freezes? Do you find a way to fix it, because to me only the patch could resolve it.......i mean i hope

Killzone 3 beta (2 patches)
Test Drive Unlimited (1 patch)
Little Big Planet 2 (1 patch)
The fact is that all of the above were released at the same time or later than ME2 and all have received at least 1 live patch.
....so, if it's Sony's fault, how come those games got patched and we're still waiting on the ME2 patch?

After reading this forum, I tried to give the game another shot after more than 1 week of avoiding it.
And guess what? In just less than 10 minutes, the game froze again and I was forced to use the PS3 power button to quit the game.
Settings are set as recommended by some people here.
So I don't see how I am getting the great "experience" everyone is talking about if I have to stop at such a wrong timing every few minutes. <_<
I totally regret buying this game early. It is almost the same as me not buying the game at all since it is completely unplayable for me.
I will NEVER ever buy another Bioware game until the complete edition is out just like Dragon Age where my only problem was the low FPS.
Bioware releases great games. But these games also come with some sort of 'experience ruining' bug like what I heard when Dragon Age Origins just released.
Really looking forward to Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3. But for now,YouTube will suffice till the Complete Edition comes out a year later with all the DLCS and at a much cheaper price.
I'll leave the Beta testing to the first batch of buyers. Good luck paying Bioware to Beta test!

Then you have NO idea how it all workes with releasing patches and DLC's. Like I said I once had to wait 3 months for a patch. But I'm not gonna argue with you and you can post 100 post on this forum and the patch will not come. Please send some complaints to sony as wellEN_Echizen wrote...

Do you know if the patch failed Sony's QA first time around? I never saw a patch be in Sony's hand for this long without release so was just curious.
Haha then you have no idea my friend. I once had to wait 3 months for a patch to come out; Please guys stop ranting and insulting Bioware. It's in Sony's hand.
And you know this because??? Sorry to say this but it doesn't take that long to get the patch pushed out once it's in Sony's hands. Bioware had no issues pushing out DLC packs in a day. If you ask me, "It is up to Sony now" is more or less an excuse or a lie to buy time. /shurg

I have no will power... demo was to much awesome-sauce to resist. Currently downloading full game XD lol
The number of people who have even encountered this bug is a VERY VOCAL but also very small minority.
That's like saying "You'll regret going for a walk in the rain, you're gonna get struck by lightning."
I'm on my third playthrough and have never had the game freeze.

Remember that the ME2 patch adress a memory allocation issue, that certainly affects the way the console operates, and this implies more testing that other kind of patch, but yeah would be nice from SONY to aprove o dissaprove the patch as soon as possible....
