haha... also the final credits have lags and micro freezes....
i finished the game and wanted to see all the credits, and noticed that they suffer lags and freezes. Every time the PS3 is reading the BD, the credits freezes for a second.
Now i can really say, that the X360 version of Mass Effect 2 is the best.

They say it would take 1-2 weeks like one week ago then they say most people don't have any problems, so I don't think they take this serious. DAMN YOU SONY

So the XBox version was perfect? It never needed a patch?
Well if it was it was just another way Sony owners got screwed. Same went for Obsidan's pos Fallout New Vegas. Least i can play Mass Effect 2 without it locking up so far. NV it was locking up every 2 mins. Then they have the nerve to release a new patch but for new trophies. Least Bioware tries. Its ALL SONYS FAULT!!!

Not having an Xbox I can't say for sure but I believe I read in several places that they did receive patches for ME2, so I doubt it was perfect.

What troll? Me? I think not. I ghet tired of hearing all the crap about how the ps3 must suck cause this game doesnt work as well as a its OLDER and Patched versions.......And it is true I dont know if I believe the loss of saves bug cause I havent seen it. I have played through it 4 times now and only have sound issues freezes ( which are annoying) Long loadtimes (unforgivable) And other minnor glitches. It needs patching but I dont see why the whole scare tactic is needed.

None of the ME2 versions were perfect, even the Xbox and PC versions had their share of bugs. Personally I can tolerate a few minor glitches, because usually there's only a small chance of you running into them. But when it comes to gamebreaking bugs that have you fear for the worst the whole time (or make you do stupid stuff you as a player shouldn't have to do, like playing without auto-save or restarting your game regularly), or glitches that completely take you out of the experience, like the out-of-sync audio in cutscenes... I'm sorry, but that's a little too much. As someone mentioned before, many of the bugs appear in all 3 versions of the game. Having new ones appear in the PS3 port is bad enough, but making a port without eliminating bugs from previous versions and calling it 'the difinitive' edition of ME2... wow.

I'm seriously considering selling the game and upgrading my PC so I can play it there. Even if the patch fixes the gamebreaking stuff, it'll still have fu**ed up sound and whatnot. Buying this for the PS3 was such a mistake...

AFAIK, The X360 version was patched a few times over, and all those patches are included in the PS3 version.Thanatos144 wrote...

Sorry, but we don't really have anything as an update. The patch is sitting with Sony and we are waiting for them to approve it. As soon as it is availabel, we will let everyone know.
Hmm, this 8 days old post by Chris means that the patch has been with Sony for at least 8 days now (and I could imagine for probably not too much longer but thats just assuming).
It better be out early next week then. Can't really see any reason why it should still take longer.

As far as I know, no one has been unable to play the game from start to finish, as long as they do the following things. It's not ideal, but there is no reason to mothball the game until the patch. I have played it through twice (100 hours) and not had a corrupt save - but I have had freezes.
1) Turn of EA online options
2) Turn off autosave
3) Backup save file to memory stick (every day)
4) Manually save every 15 minutes
5) Stand still when saving
Yes, I had 3 or 4 freezes for each playthrough...not a big deal. But, I haven't heard of anyone that did all of the above getting a corrupt save, or if they did, not being able to copy the save back from usb.
There's no reason to put the game on the shelf for a month.
Doing 1), 2), and 4) should do the trick... I'll try to keep 5) in mind too though, I didn't even consider that as something to avoid.

A lot of people on this thread including myself have already lost games saves, mine had about 25 hours on it. I'm not about to risk that happening again and waste another 25 hours of my life. If that works for you and you haven't had a corrupt save yet then good for you but I sure as hell am not playing this game until the patch comes out. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me is what I say.
