I think they have kept us well informed and the reason they haven't posted any thing is because there is nothing new to report.

patience is still a virtue

A courtesy, sure but surely they could have I dunno...made sure the game had less glitches BEFORE releasing it to the general public? I dunno just saying, and I don't mean it nastily or anything its just my opinion on like all games lol.

I also agree they have kept us well informed, but sadly I lack in patience lol.

Today completes one month of launch of Mass Effect 2 on PS3

there is hardly any news about the patch to fix the bugs in the game

honestly think that Sony and bioware not ta minimal consideration to the fans of the game

unfortunately they may have become a game of success in failure

someone here dares to buy Mass Effect 3 PS3 problems after this bug Mass Effect 2 I do not buy soon.

It is not courtesy to fix a faulty product if you buy a car and it ends missing a tire you expect them to fix it same with a game I spent 60 dollars on

Dude you say it's a Courtesy to get a fix for a game in the form of a patch, well if thats the case then you do know that people would of had the right by law to sue any company that sold non working product to their customers.example when the xbox360 came out and all those people got the red ring of death and Microsoft refused to service their customers alot of them sued Microsoft and thats when they made the 3year warranty....A broken Product must be fixed by the Company that sells it...I know it's true since I used to be in law school.

Quit your whining people. You're lucky you're even getting a patch in the first place. A patch is a courtesy from the developers, they're not obliged to do anything further.

Lucky?? How is it lucky to expect a £40 game to work as it was advertised?

It'd be nice if Sony didn't remove widely advertised features like Other OS (a major selling point for those who wanted to use the PS3 as a media center) either.

I agree. I'm still not really clear on why Sony felt they needed to omit Linux. I myself had never used Linux on the PS3, but I thought it was a nice feature... for Sony as much as PS3 users. Afterall, it's possible that the people of Linux could have found ways to better use the PS3 technology, which Sony could have made use of... for free no less.

Wel thats quite simple hackers found a backdoor in the linux client to play ilegal downloaded games...

but on the subject again

Why do so many of you think that patch wasn't submitted when they created this tread? and just 9 orso days ago maybe sony rejected it and now there working on the patch so it can be resubmitted???? or is that wishfull thinking?

I've dealt with Sony a lot and they can be really slow to approve patches. They can have ZERO bottlenecks and patches just sit there waiting to be tested and approved. Other than that I cannot share anymore insight on this.

Patience is something we'll have to live with or Dragon Age 2 is just around the corner :)

Im sorry but how is it whining? The game should be, bar some minor bugs and glitches, completely playable, without needing to worry about corrupt saves, when you pay ****ing £40 for the game. And how exactly is a patch a courtesy and we are so very lucky that we will get one?! It should of been bloody alright in the first place. The develepors may not be obliged, but they know damn well where their getting their money from, and if they didnt fix what should of been fine in the first place, then they'll see how many people buy their other games. Obviously, we have to be patient, but we have paid our hard earned cash and we want to see some results. Is that really to much to ask? I dont ****ing think so.

If a game has gone Gold with bugs in it and you pay to own there game there not finished with that game until its bugg free or until bugs that currupt data or make the game unplayeble are dealth with... thats called customer support if a product is unfinished or broken they should fix it or refund it....

I expect you shall heed your own words when, inevitably, you purchase a product that turns out to have issues with it.

I've left this thread and the "Freezing" thread for nearly a month and prazision is still spewing the same nonsense he was then. Do everyone a favor and don't feed the troll, no matter how subtle he may be.

I'm not trolling, I am trying to get it through people's thick skulls that Sony would not just be twiddling their thumbs on this patch.  Either the patch is complex and needs thorough testing or BioWareEA submitted a bad patch.

If you're going to be mad at anyone, be mad at BioWareEA for having poor customer support relations (David Gaider and Mike Laidlaw have the time to post dozens of times a week about Dragon Age 2, but absolutely nobody is bothering to keep us updated about this patch?  Ridiculous).

The PS3 has hundreds of games and has recently had to deal with some very serious issues related to certain games.  I am 100% sure they are doing their best.  From my dealings with Sony and Microsoft, Sony is much more caring towards its consumer base.

People who suggest that Sony is intentionally delaying or ignoring this patch are the real trolls.

Actually, its not only about THIS patch but more about the other million patches for the million games, or every thing that they have to look, process, test or everything that's remotely attach to PSN stuff.

Nothing personnal. It's probably juste a pretty damn crowded time for them right now. They usually are pretty fast with patches, especially if there is nothing elsle happening for them. It'll come sooner or later.

Exactly.  I actually had to call Sony about a problem I was having with the PSN store since the latest firmware update, and apparently there is a major problem they've been busy with caused by Black Ops (I don't play FPS games so I don't know anything about it, but the woman I spoke to said it was a really big deal).

Our thick skulls, you have made plenty of assumptions on this issue in this thread:

- It is only happening to a few people. Yet you only say according to Bioware that is true yet I find no evidence anywhere in the forums of them stating that.

- Also those complaining about the issue are just 360 fanboys.

- According to you you are assuming that the patch might not have been submitted till the time Chris updated us in this forum, but again no evidence that Bioware did not submit the patch at the time this thread was posted.

You say Sony is so great, but I am sure those people a while back that had rootkits installed on their PC without there knowledge we just overjoyed on how good Sony is to there customers. No company is perfect.

LOL.  Chris said that in the very first post in this very thread.  Reading comprehension, much?

All he said was some, but no hard number on those who have experienced the issue. So the number could be like 10% or more, but again we have no hard numbers.  That statement was probably based on those talking about the issue here for all we know. You also said in another post that the NG+  bug is again only happening to a few, but based on the post in the forums it has happened to everyone that has tried it. Yes it is not a game breaking bug, but a bug nonetheless that should be addressed.

According to you all the bugs that are occurring in ME2 are happening to only a few or being exagerated by trolls.

Yes I did read the first post, and he only said some, but there are no hard numbers so we have no idea how wide spread the issue may be. Yes, there are those that have not seen the bug, and those that have seen it multiple times but to downplay the issue or say someone is a troll doesn't excuse a bug like this from making it into the GM version of a game.
