I was unaware of this issue until yesterday. I was doing the Shadowbroker mission and it froze after I got in the skycar. I didn't get a corrupt savegame file, they simply vanished. I only had an option for newgame.

Luckily I wasn't too far in to put me off starting again but I won't play until it's fixed.

i never had problems with LotSB

the only bug i actually ever encountered is the LI picture bug and the "rainbow bug"

the rest are just a few glitches but it can be forgiven

My save just got corrupted. I was playing on Insanity as a vanguard. Game crashed during LotSB. I only need the insanity trophy and the Overlord trophy until I get platinum. Too bad it crashed on my third playthrough. I was even almost finished with the game. 

I might try again next week but maybe I'll try using an infiltrator this time

I was around 25 hours in and save file corrupted. Its a great game so playing it all over again aint no problem at all. I was most annoyed not jotting down my created character code beforehand as i was happy with how he turned out. I'll keep checking back to this form if there is any more news on the patch being released. Hopefully soon!

I was damn lucky.. Didn't experience any save crashes.

I was lucky too, made it through the game without any problems *fingers crossed*. I didn't even know there were problems with savegames. I was thinking of doing a second playthrough as a Renegade, but now I think I'll wait until--hopefully soon--the patch is released. I'm assuming one day I'll start up the game and the PS3 will let me know I need to DL it?

At least everyone here can still play the game. I still can't progress due to the bypass door/safe freeze. I have a feeling this patch won't help me and I will be returning the game for a refund.

Well i just finished my insanity playthrough bringing me to 94% completion and the end of my 2nd playthrough. So by the time Sony gets off their ass and releases it I won't even need it no more.

I know what u mean 4 trophies away from Plant. and my Renegade Adept is my final char till Mass Effect 3. Especially with Dragon Age 2 Demo coming out this tuesday and the actual game coming out the 8th or 9th of March.

Hey watch it!  It's ok to be concerned with technical issues and be anxious for a patch but this is still a Bioware game we're talking about so show some respect!

*Yawn*well at least on Tuesday Bulletstorm and Killzone3 come out so I'll just be playing those for awhile until the patch for ME2 comes out.Since now I lost almost a whole month waiting on a patch that never came out when we all needed it the most. and I lost to much of my life coming onto these Forums Daily hoping for the patch to be up on psn.

Actually, he has a point. Lucifer399 has paid $60 for Bioware's service which they did not deliver.
Imagine going to a restaurant and having a bad experience. The food is undercooked and the service is bad. Something which others did not experience except for you. You will obviously demand compensation for the restaurant's incompetence for it wasn't the service that you paid for. So I can understand his rudeness.
Like in a restaurant, the manager is still dilly-dallying about instead fixing the problem quickly which further infuriates the customer.

And as I have noticed, other game companies actually tried to release the patch quickly; something which Bioware failed at since Dragon Age: Origins. What they could at least do is to ask Sony to speed things up a bit. Instead, they did not. Thus, Sony will continue on their usual slow process of reviewing the patch.

And this on the other hand causes even more unnecessary anger by the customers who bought the game to play it now and not later. 

And as for me, if I would have known the patch would take this long, I would have sent the game back and buy it later. As of now, the price of the game has dropped quite a bit since the day that I purchased this game.

@ Beetgreen -  Yeah... but this patch has been a month in the waiting. And with the DA2 demo dropping on Tuesday, Bioware, EA and Sony will have their hands full. I don't see this patch coming any time soon. I think people have a legitamate reason to be upset.

At the same time, most people should have found away around the corruption issue by now (if they search for the problem online, anyway). But yeah, there's legitimate reason to be horked.

In 70 hrs gameplay 2 playthroughs only 1 lock up in game and no curroptions.

Strange I've never had any trouble with Mass Effect 2 on the PS3 maybe it's because my PS3 is an older version with only 20 GB?
