Im sorry to hear people have lost 30 hours. But these things happen with all newly released games. And it looks as if they have found the problem. So dont worry, be happy and continue to enjoy this beauty of a game.

best version of the game? am kinda disappointed in some ways, but overall still an excellent game, having played the 360 version a year ago(360 rroded, thats why i bought this version, and the rest is history).
i hope dragon age 2 will not follow this pattern, i have it preordered already.

it's not really on the back burner,
things with new game + just take a very long time to investigate due to
having to play through the entire game.
So again, they know about, they're working on it.

Jack from Bioware said they are investigating the out of sync issues so hopefully that will be addressed in a future patch.

This site says the patch is now available, thought it was weird that nothing was announced here but turned it on just to make sure and alas no patch came up. Weird that this site said it was available?

Seriously, while the auto-save bug is certainly frustrating for a handful of people, and while BioWare is certainly to blame for this, I can't understand why some players never seem to bother making manual saves on a regular basis. If you have ever played on a PC, you should have learned to *never* rely on auto-saves. I never trust auto-saving on a computer nor on a console. While it's nice to have as a back-up save, you should never consider it as your main saving method, period.
How hard is it to do Start > Save once in a while and before any major event?

No i don't but i figured there was no harm in trying lol. I was really posting it just to show how inaccurate certain internet sources can be people nowadays trust everything they see on the internet.Ryusennin wrote...

You are going to make a lot of people unhappy over this comment. It is not just the auto save feature that is causing the problem. People who saved manually also experienced this problem. It is a bug in the game that causes me2 to freeze after being played for to long in one session then corrupts all of your saves not just the auto save.

The article was lying, for what purpose, I don't know, but the article was made before Chris Priestly came on here and told us that a patch is being created.Dragonfan8574 wrote...

Please make an effort to be better-informed before you post on a topic that's disrupted the experience of this game for dozens of people on these forums. There are plenty of other threads where folks who haven't had this problem have made generalizations such as these and been corrected as to the actual nature of the problem. It isn't difficult to look those up. Those of us who have had this problem are a little tired of still explaining, eleven days in, the exact nature of the problem. Especially when the previous conversations are still all up and easily accessible.
Do yourself a favor, for your sake - or else as Dragonfan said you're just going to make a lot of people unhappy.

Because the saves are all under one save file ALL saves will get corrupted. If you look at your save files under the XMB you'll see that they didn't make individual save files for each save you make, unlike other games.
Sorry, most of the time this would be true but because of they way they programed the saves, you can make as many saves as you want to but once one gets corrupted they all do.
At least a fix is almost here, I've stopped playing until then.
