Whats with all the rant? A patch is on the way. Bioware listens to their customers feedback, thank goodness.

Im sorry to hear people have lost 30 hours. But these things happen with all newly released games. And it looks as if they have found the problem. So dont worry, be happy and continue to enjoy this beauty of a game.

Agreed, we are going down the road of whinny angry gamers ****ing, never happy of what they get.

To those gamers, you should be happy that there was an update so fast.

nice to hear a patch is on the way, but why hasn't anyone but bringer of chaos addressed the new game+ glitch? sure its not gamebreaking as corrupt save or freeze, but it still needs to be fixed.

best version of the game? am kinda disappointed in some ways, but overall still an excellent game, having played the 360 version a year ago(360 rroded, thats why i bought this version, and the rest is history).

i hope dragon age 2 will not follow this pattern, i have it preordered already.

May I direct you to the response in the most recent thread itself:

it's not really on the back burner,
things with new game + just take a very long time to investigate due to
having to play through the entire game.

So again, they know about, they're working on it.

These things happen? Gaming is now a massive industry Companies like Bioware make a lot of money as such they should quality test the game before release to prevent "these things from happening" Glad a patch is on its way to stop this happening to others but for those who have experienced the problem after many hours of gameplay - its of little use! I may play this game again - in another life time!

Jack from Bioware said they are investigating the out of sync issues so hopefully that will be addressed in a future patch.

At least we BioWare will finish this in a somewhat timely/immediate manner. It has been a month, a MONTH, since Halo Waypoint applied a title update to Halo Wars which broke the previous title update, erasing many gameplay balance fixes and messing up the game. Waypoint has been silent with no updates and the game remains unbalanced, for a month. If not today, the ME2 PS3 patch will come out next week. I know it seems BioWare is lousy at handling patches (Dragon Age, cough) but they are better than other companies for sure!

This site says the patch is now available, thought it was weird that nothing was announced here but turned it on just to make sure and alas no patch came up. Weird that this site said it was available?

Do you trust Google-translated Italian sites? Me neither.

Seriously, while the auto-save bug is certainly frustrating for a handful of people, and while BioWare is certainly to blame for this, I can't understand why some players never seem to bother making manual saves on a regular basis. If you have ever played on a PC, you should have learned to *never* rely on auto-saves. I never trust auto-saving on a computer nor on a console. While it's nice to have as a back-up save, you should never consider it as your main saving method, period.

How hard is it to do Start > Save once in a while and before any major event?

No i don't but i figured there was no harm in trying lol. I was really posting it just to show how inaccurate certain internet sources can be people nowadays trust everything they see on the internet.

You are going to make a lot of people unhappy over this comment. It is not just the auto save feature that is causing the problem. People who saved manually also experienced this problem. It is a bug in the game that causes me2 to freeze after being played for to long in one session then corrupts all of your saves not just the auto save.

The article was lying, for what purpose, I don't know, but the article was made before Chris Priestly came on here and told us that a patch is being created.

Please make an effort to be better-informed before you post on a topic that's disrupted the experience of this game for dozens of people on these forums.  There are plenty of other threads where folks who haven't had this problem have made generalizations such as these and been corrected as to the actual nature of the problem.  It isn't difficult to look those up.  Those of us who have had this problem are a little tired of still explaining, eleven days in, the exact nature of the problem.  Especially when the previous conversations are still all up and easily accessible.

Do yourself a favor, for your sake - or else as Dragonfan said you're just going to make a lot of people unhappy.

Because the saves are all under one save file ALL saves will get corrupted.  If you look at your save files under the XMB you'll see that they didn't make individual save files for each save you make, unlike other games.
Sorry, most of the time this would be true but because of they way they programed the saves, you can make as many saves as you want to but once one gets corrupted they all do.
At least a fix is almost here, I've stopped playing until then.
