Yes. It's a PC only software.
And like Iike I said, if it is something illegal, then I am not interested in using it.
I have the 19.98MB .pkg file of the patch. But I have no idea how to transfer it and whether this patch is compatible with my R3 version of the game.

UPDATE: Don't bother using this method. It requires you to jailbreak your PS3 in order to transfer the file. Something which I recommend you guys NOT to do.
Not to mention, the name of the file is
'EP0006-BLES01133_00-BDPATCH010000000-A0101-V0100-PE.pkg'
See the word, 'BLES01133'.
This is the Game ID for the European version. Meaning this update is specifically for them. So even if you dare to jailbreak your PS3 to install this patch, it will likely be incompatible with your version and mine.

So I guess we will both have to wait till the R1 and R3 patch comes out. 
Hopefully, by the next few hours.

I downloaded update 1.01. Upon entering the game, I met a glitch. I pressed the start button and the music is gone. When I restarted the game that glitch was not there.

     I started a new game. When Shepard first talked with Jacob, Shepard stood somewhere on the right side and the camera showed an empty place.

     If this update fixes a bug with saving, it does not fix hundreds of other bugs. This game needs more update.

yeah for those that  WERE beta testers should receive some compensation, like free DLC, guess that the majority of players wont get any treat since they got zero problems. but really it should be sometinhg to consider, having proof that a certain player had the corrupted save then he should receive some code for a DLC, i mean even if they dont have any dlc for mass effect 2 they should provide codes for the other games they made like dragon age.

I got the Patch I live in the UK.



One thing you all should know if your a Playstation Plus Member like me the Automatic Download System didn't detect it earlier when it scanned for new Downloads so you must put the Game in and run it to get the Patch or until they get it on the Auto Download System anyway (lol).



Take care guys and enjoy I've been waiting for this Patch since I got the game and heard about the issues I look forward to playing it now in peace...

after installing the patch i report what i have seen:



- faster loading time

- cut scene have syncronized audio



- some dialog are still cut at the end

- NG+ still does not give you the armours and weapons of the first game

- allied still have only 28 point (instead of 29) when Sheppard has reached lv 30 (before finding all allies). I finished the first game at lv 29, and all allies had 28 points. When i reached lv 30, i had only Miranda and Jacob... they earned the 1 point reaching 29 total points... all other allies that i added after reaching lv 30, have only 28 points. (this means, they can only upgrade 2 full powers). Miranda and Jacob have all 3 full powers. (1 initial point+29 earned point = 30 --> 3 full powers). The last loyal power has always a free point to be added...



So the patch is really a 1.01, but there are other things to be fixed.



I cannot tell if it has fixed the save corruption file bug.

Has anyone checked to see if the graphics in overlord are fixed? I was thinking improved level streaming may have fixed it.

Yaaaaay Finally..Yeah I live in Texas and no update either but from what I heard we should have the patch some time later today or by tomorrow morning Sony in the U.S.A. has a different server than Europe but just hang tight people it's out in Europe now so it should be out any time in the U.S.A. soon.Remember the New Vegas patch came out in Europe a few hours before the U.S. 1 ...we are on our way WOOOOOHOOOO...

I just checked the Trophy list on the Ps3 Xmb and 3 new trophies have been added for a Dlc called the Arrival.



Anybody know more about it?

man people be happy. the corrupted save glitch is now fixed! you can play the game and not have to worry about it crashing anymore. The other bugs IMO are easily forgivable.
