I did a load comparison here (in Normandy): http://e-mpire.com/t...131#post2570131
Slightly less than a second difference lol.
Thank god for the patch though! Time to play
Woah Woah Woah! 48 seconds!?!?
The WORST I have ever had is 17 seconds when it comes to going between decks on the Normandy.

To all in the US complaining about receiving the Patch late:
How do you like it for a change! Can I remind you that ME2 released 3 days later in the EU than it did in the US. That and a myriad of other late arrivals in the EU (including my confusion when Demon's Souls was winning GOTY awards in 2009, the year BEFORE it was released here - a whole 9 months apart) lead me to rejoicing in the fact that we have something first for a change.
Wow, way to release some pent up anger
he actually got a point.
in asia i had to wait a week more than the US release date for mass effect 2
Why don't you take it up with those responsible? It's not like we have a say when things get released. I'd also note that EA is an American company and BioWare is in Canada, both are in North America. It's very likely there are legal reasons why the games are released in other regions later. Yes, it sucks but "rejoicing" that other gamers don't have access to a game breaking solution is selfish and immature.
LoL! Just to confirm yeah, it's just for him. He lives in Indonesia you see.
Singapore has it's own EA branch here and the price of the game is cheaper thanks to it.
As a result of this also, we get it at the same time or even earlier than our US counterpart.
As of now, the R1 edition of Killzone 3 has been out since yesterday.
But I prefer waiting for the R3 version of KZ3 where all of the bundles will come with the Steelbook edition.
Like I said, maybe it's just Malaysia and Indonesia.
And I will definitely agree with your last statement. It is extremely childish to go boasting around about some having the fix first than others. Instead, you should be encouraging and hoping that the others will have it soon too.

Hey, I'm new here and this is my first post on this forum. My question is - what if this isn't THE patch, but this is merely A patch? As in, just a planned trophy patch and not the actual patch for the save file issue. Has anyone from Bioware or Sony confirmed that this patch is THE patch for the save file issue?
That's what I said a few pages back, but no one heard me. Perhaps I should raise my voice...
(Ahem) BIOWARE HAS NOT CONFIRMED NOR DENIED THAT THIS WAS THE WANTED PATCH FOR GAME SAVE CORRUPTION
Thee's no way to prove it, but I think masteratt's loading comparison should perhaps be noted as a little bit of evidence of that

Let me help a bit. The European players who had this patch says the load time has improved SLIGHTLY.
This is a sign that this patch,
-Slightly improved load times and level streaming.
is present. And note the word, 'level streaming'.
I am mostly getting stuck at loading screen because it fails to load. So level streaming will hopefully improve on the loading and prevent the freeze.
At the same time, if this part is present, then chances are, the
-Fixed a crash related to memory fragmentation. This fix will also resolve the crashing that corrupted Save Games.
should be present too.
I doubt Bioware will announce that the patch is 'Live' as it is not yet made available to everyone. People like to misinterpret words said by others. So they will not say anything yet in case their words will turn against them like People from US and Asia complaining about not receiving the patch. Believe me. It's a public relations thing.

I agree. From the way I've seen people react to things around here, anouncing the patch before it was released to everybody would cause mass panic and chaos. Oh, and anger. Lots and lots of anger.LiLAsN wrote...

Appreciate the quick response you two. Though you have made a good case for this finally being the almighty patch LiLAsN, I suppose waiting until it drops here in Vegas will be the only way to be sure. Hopefully you're right and we all have more ME2 to look forward to as a precursor to ME3^_^

It will only prevent future saves from being corrupted.

While this is true, I believe Moegooner88 was asking if he would have to start a new playthrough. In this case, no you do not. Simply apply the patch, load up your last save and have fun. That said, the patch isn't a retroactive miracle and won't fix any corrupted saves you may have.

I'm in australia and i bought Mass Effect 2 the other day. I know there is lots of posts about the problems it has been experiencing but i need my own question answered. I need to know what i should do because the game keeps going into this green and purple haze and the load screens are fine but it just started after i recruited that doctor alien guy. So now the game seems to be all fuzzy and not as it should be. I dont have internet access for my ps3 so should i just take it back to where i bought it or what should i do? I have just started getting into these games as well as dragon age. Let me know asap!

The patch installs when you start the game. Remember though that the UK patch will only install with the UK disk. If you have the American disk and logon to PSN UK it won't patch - there is a different BLES***** number on the game disk.
