For those of us who don't have access to the Playstation Network on our PS3's at home, how will we get this patch? My mom doesn't let me play games online (she says online can become too addicting for some and she doesn't know if I'm susceptible to this phenomenon yet) and she only lets me use the internet for studies (I'm at the library right now).

So how can I receive this patch so that my save won't become corrupted? I see that this library computer has a USB drive, maybe you can put this patch in a downloadable file.

Thank you.

Sorry but the only way you can download a patch is by connecting to psn and playing the game. Maybe you could try telling your mom the situation and she can watch what you do the whole time? Hopefully she would understand sometimes all it takes is a little communication. Best of luck!

I had about 30+ hours in this when corruption happened. From what I've read I brought it on myself for playing about 10 hours straight yesterday without turning off PS3. Check this out though, It could be worse. The reason i don't play Xbox 360 anymore is that one of their updates corrupted ALL my saves on ALL my games on and offline. I'm glad that didn't happen here, thats the worst. I love this game, I was pissed but will play through again after patch is released.

It is addicting. Hopefully when they release the patch I'll be able to play it again.
I'll buy more bioware games, but next time I'll wait a week to see if they do the dummy again.
Trust me, every time I've ever had my PS3 turn off, it was because I had played it more than six hours.

The console used its auto-shut off when it would get to hot. That's the one where the red light flashes for a while.
Take care of your stuff, bro! lol

Bioware team, if you're reading this then can you give us an eta of the patch? I'm hoping Sony have approved it to so it can be released tomorrow. Heres hoping anyway.

It was more like 8 hours now that I think of it, but yeh too long. I have a teenager and would never let him play that long. Should lead by example, but it was my day off and I had not got to play it much yet. Just went on a binge. It didn't do the red light thing just froze up had to turn of manually

Give 'em some time, they said they -expected- to be done by Friday. I personally think we'll have the patch out right around Monday.

Thank you! Anyone know if the "video streaming" part of the patch will fix the audio delay in some cut-scenes?

There's really such a feature where it will automatically shuts down? Interesting! Haha!
Never had that happen to me and believe me, now that I'm waiting for school to start, I've been gaming a lot. Always more than 12 hours. If I'm not gaming, I'm watching videos on it. And never even once have I ever encountered my PS3 freezing up or  shutting down. And neither does it make a vacuum-sounding noise over a certain period of time which mostly indicates excessive heat on the PS3.
But I have to say, my PS3 did make a lot of noise in the past but that was because there was a lot of dust before. Ever since I sucked the dust out, everything is working fine. :)
Oh! Just so you know, I have to turn on my PS3 24/7 nowadays for some reason.
And what makes matters worst, I live in Singapore and it is near the Earth's equator. Thus, the temperatures here are hot! With average temperatures of 26-33°C. Haha!

So it clearly shows  that it is not my PS3's fault but some bad coding of the game.

So if we conclude that this could have been resolved in
beta-testing but wasn't (in order to make the release deadline), then all of
the people who were excited enough to go out and buy the game immediately upon
release have been, in effect, beta-testing.  I figure that my time spent
unknowingly beta-testing the game is worth at least $10 per hour. I just lost
30 hours of game play.

TO WHOM IN BIOWARE MANAGEMENT SHOULD I SUBMIT MY $300 BETA-TESTING INVOICE-?

What the hell is up with all these very vague glitches that have been reported as of late. Before I stopped playing outta fear, my game was working perfectly fine. Only problems I experienced were the Kaiden picture frame, and bad textures on Project Overlord. Also, the fact that a number of these are being reported by users who just made accounts within the past 48 hours is a little suspicious as well.

Once again: this is the technical support forum. People come here when they have technical problems. I signed up here ages ago, I remember registering KotOR and Jade Empire back when it was possible. But I never posted here until last week when I started following this section specifically so I could find out when the problems would get fixed.

I'm not sure how many regular members there are on these forums, but I'd bet they're a tiny fraction of the total customers who have bought BioWare games. It makes total sense to me that people who would otherwise never look at these forums would sign up when they experience a glitch. Are some of them fake? Maybe, I've really got no way of knowing. But there's a very logical explanation for why the complainers would be people who just signed up, so it seems pretty petty to dismiss them out of hand.
