yes mate i did i was 20 hours into the game... it froze at a load screen... hard reset my console and now theres nothing there.. ive contacted EA about the problem and they tried to deny all knowledge of any issues T*ssers..

Your saves got corrupted even with the patch applied? That's really bad news.

My game just froze for the first time, had to restart my PS3, but luckily the saves were still there. Phew...

yea man it sucks! whatever happend to the time when you could buy a game put it in play and complete with out all the hassle! not playing it now gunna download a copy for pc!!! YES DOWNLOAD BIOWARE!!

 Hi, I am not sure that I am posting int he correct area. If not, please point me in the right direction. I have discovered a  issue with the newest patch. 

Details for my Mass Effect 2 Ps3 Save:
I have completed all story levels up to obtaining the Geth Technology and using the Omega 5 Relay on Insanity difficulty.
I have all dlc that is currently available.
I have done most of the side quests and dlc quests. 
Fortunetly I havent had any of my savedata corrupted.
Before the patch, I had one freezing issue during a side quest which I can not remember the name of  the quest. But basically I had to save after every wave of enemies and basicaly just run past the last to complete the quest.    That was the only freeze issue that I had before the patch.
So to the main point, After I download the patch, I noticed not freezing, but more of a skipping issue while playing. 
Then I got to the"N7: Javelin Missiles Launched" mission. After taking out all of the enemies on insanity before the timer runs. I get to the panel and hack it. All excited to save the innocent civilians, and the game starts skipping over and over. It was really bad. The option screen would pop up every like 10 or so seconds. So I attempted the mission atleast 5 to 7 times with the same result. Finally I decided to delete the patch from my ps3.(Which is really wierd as most patches are permenant as far as I know. this patch however can be deleted from the game data.)  I then had to download the dlc again and play offline to avoid using the patch and played the mission with no problems. I think i will continue playing on short intervals without the patch. I was just curious if anyone else has experienced this problem or new where to post it.
P.S. If I dont get my insanity difficulty trophy, i'm gonna be P1$$ed. Lol!

The game for me really seemed to play better post-patch. The main problem I ran into was after the romance scene before hitting the Omega 4 relay, the game froze 3 times. The music for the next scene played (where you talk to the Illusive Man before leaving for the mission) but the screen remained black. After 3 restarts, it finally let me proceed. The game also froze once during the Collector Base mission. There were some other minor issues. The audio cuts in and out more and some lines of dialogue werent spoken at all. Once, the Galaxy Map music continued playing inside the Normandy.



I dont know if any of this was caused by the patch or not (never noticed these issues before) but maybe Bioware can patch these issues up next time, too.

I ran into a problem with the new patch. I had no problems before the patch.

When you chase down the spectre and she crashes her cab. You start fighting. My game started to lag and be all over the place. It would take forever to do anything. About 45 seconds later the game was back up to speed. I have also noticed auto being cut out too.

I know what the patch was supposes to fix, but I had 0 problems before the patch, I install it and I ran into issues.

It still freezes for me at the squad screen when trying to distribute xp. When i switch to the next squad member I get a loading icon under the picture and it stays there and doesnt do anything. This game is so unplayable, thank god my doa 2 demo froze too or else i wouldve spent money on that ****hole too

 Well, unfortunetly like a bum. I didn't save after completing the missle quest. Attempted to do the mission again and it skipped. So apparently it was not caused by the patch. I wonder if the characters you use can effect it. I might do some experimenting. Lol but crying on the inside. Also, how do different people have different glitches. Could it be faulty blu rays. I don't know. I just hope it gets fixed soon.

 Yeah, so I tried it with the same characters I used last night and it worked with no problems. This may be common knowledge, but next time you find a serious issue, try changing your selected team. I might have been lucky, or I may be onto something.

So it was the patch? Or were you just lucky that it didnt glitch out before? I still say this game was worth the 60 bucks I paid. I also am glad I chose the PS3 over the Xbox....Though I am thinking of getting the first game on the PC since I think my new puter can handle it.

This exact same thing happened to me too in the exact same place too. I was preparing myself for a freeze but like you said, everything caught up and it ran fine

Just had a freeze in a conversation with a batarian who greets who you when you first reach omega, and that data is now corrupt. Does this mean the probloem is still there or is it new?

 Oh, don't get me wrong. This game is awesome. I played it on xbox360 when it came out last year. I could only dream of it on the Ps3, as that is my console of choice. So when it came out on Ps3, I had to have it. Due to the greatness  of the game, I can deal with the patches. I just am not to happy about the wait, lol. As far as $60. I think that it is definetly worth $60. Heck, I would have paid more than that. I personally think that a lot of the glitches are from your squad mate selection. As I have mentioned before that after changing them, the glitch was gone. I await the next patch.

Uhm I did read the post patch notes and It said that it fixes a crash related to memory leaks and some other Freezes as well on the psn version of ME2 among other things.

I have only the issue with the hack console when the system freeze and is very annoying problem, I hard reset the ps3 and try several times until all my save games were deleted, althrough I have the patch installed and reinstall all back again but the problem continues. Hope your method solves this problem because is such a great game to be wasted in this way....

Dude Delete all the mass effect saves and game installs and then reinstall the game like if you just got it home from the store I did this and I've had a good run so far in m.e.2 I just hope it stays this way.

I already done that before I lost my save games I read that disabling automatic save and auto login to EA servers solves the problem I'll try right now:)

Man isn't over for me I have the problem with the hack minigame it still freezes after I delete all save and installed data and install all back again including the patch the problem stills there BTW you installed the DLC or you just playing without it?
