Here's a note...I hooked my ps3 up to a regular TV today a played for 11 hours with 2 freezes. I was able to do all the hacks no problem. And didn't have any texture failures at all. I wonder if the freezes are related to HI Rez 1080P or maybe going thru an hdml cable. Can any one else try what I did to confirm it.

I play the game in a 1080p TV and have the same issue allways....a friend uses another copy, slim ps3 and stbndar tv and had freeze issues...could be disc itself?

It seems the patch added a lot of new problems? I played through the game almost twice with only one freeze, no noticeable lag, no cut off dialogue, very few (close to none) texture issues.
Now, the game gets pretty laggy in some shootouts. Dialogue cuts off or dissapears, and the game freezes frequently.
When I have time to play the game again, I'll delete the patch and see how that works. The game seems to have gone from AWESOME to very good(but annoying) just because of a patch?!

Please Bioware, look into this!

The only problems I'm experiencing at the moment are the sound going out of sync in most of the cutscenes and vocals cutting off sometimes which is kinda annoying.

I'm not sure... Probably delete everything that was installed the first time I booted up the game, re-install offline? I guess it denpends on the file setup...
I may have time to do it later today, and if you want I can just update you in here!?

It might be me or my PS3, but it is funny that all my ME2 problems started happening after I downloaded the patch. If getting rid of the patch doesn't work then the patch at least will have an alibi.

Your not listening!....I have those things much more since installing the patch...I never had ANY freezes before the patch...I never had ONE cut scene skip, before the patch, there were some dialogue problems but they happen more since the patch ,..im not talking about sound sync issues..i mean dialogue cutting off in places it never did before the patch..so dont tell me is not the patch...i know whats happening to my game.

Just completed the best game ever. On Normal Difficulty, took me 37 hours, not rushing, completed all side missions including DLC, Overload being in part the worst part of the game because of the pixellated ground on Aite and also one of the best because the mission was genuinely saddening and brilliantly done. Explored and scanned around 15 planets(i'll do more on my second playthrough as a renagade) and got around maybe 2/3 of the upgrades. I experienced no ps3 freezes or crashes, only around 4 to 5 times there was slowdown, a couple of framerate issues on Overlord, apart from these small issues, the game was immense.
Since the patch, I hope there are lot more people like me, who have been able to truly enjoy the game. My biggest sympathies to people who are still having problems. I do not see it as acceptable for a game that u have paid £40 for to have a corrupt save bug, and whatever else.
I cannot wait for ME3, but i just hope Bioware has learned it's lesson for next time.
But what a game, holy ****.....

Again it isnt the patch doing it. You might want to look at your machine. That or you need to relax and stop letting small stuff bug you so much. Sure I think the audio bugs are annoying. I havent froze since the patch so I dont know about that but it is annoying as well but if they make a patch for it fine if not I can still enjoy the game. It is the Unreal Engin cause I get freezes on Batman as well so I dont know what they will do about it.

to stop the freezing all you have to do is never buy a ****ty game from bioware, ever again. Freezing problems stopped!

After a month or so, I've finally beaten Mass Effect 2! Waited so long for this patch .

Only problem I encountered post patch was 1 freeze and the texture of my character looked kind of weird. Now I'm waiting on that NG+ trophy patch and I'lll be getting that plat !

The lack of options in creating your char loook was a draw back of the game I have to say. What the hell was with all the 50's hairstyles?

I think that the issue is only with older PS3 systems. My only issue is that freeze when I start the hack minigame in any moment...

I think that the issue is with older PS3 systems(fat)... My problem is only that system freeze when I start hack minigame at any moment....

I found out how to cure the freezes. When you come to a hack that freezes, when you restart go to the display settings and put it in 480p only, then switch 4:3 aspect ratio.
