Who here misses the Mako as much as me?
Wich is a whole lot i might add!!!!

I think that it was completely unfair that they removed the Mako in Mass Effect 2
& that they should definately bring it back in Mass Effect 3.
I mean it was a huge part of the first games story, was in all the previews &
honestly i loved all the Mako segments, especialy the part on Feros &
it was a lot more fun & worth while than that terrible, mind numbing scanning
& mining system in Mass Effect 2!!!

Who thinks that the Mako or some kind of vehicle should return in Mass Effect 3?Image IPB

The way I see it, the best mix is having a hover-tank like the hammerhead to cover handling issues, and some decent weaponry (maybe upgradeable?) and shielding like the original Mako.

But in ME1 the biggest issue with the Mako was the environments u were given to drive round in. It was just annoying using the Mako outside of a Main Story Mission.

So like, Mako-Hammerhead hybrid :)

The Mako was fine; it was the terrain that was crap. I'd love to have it back. Failing that, give the Hammerhead some decent shields/armor and, you know, an actual weapon.

I missed it a bit. There was room for improvement but it's not nearly as bad as some people say it is. Then again people on the internet like to exaggerate.

It's a bit disappointing how Bioware completely removed it, instead of improving it.

Thats because you were on an uncharted world...
If they brought the Mako back in Mass Effect3 & added roads to every planet
it would be as unrealistic as all the cover laying around in Mass Effect2...Image IPB

& i have got to have wheels!!! Seriously!!!

Yeah, Mako made some places really awesome. As a sci-fi geek I enjoyed every planet I could land on, altough, terrain could be improved.  Ride on Ilos in those tunels were more then memorable.

I fail to see how planet scanning is an improvement.

Hopefully, it will be back in some form in ME 3. I want to explore planets.

A vehicle would be amazing. But the make was a piece of ****. So no Mako!

Mako was a good thing. The bad thing was that there were only two planets (excluding the plot ones) that had small portions of terrain that didn't look like they were made with a badly made random height generator.

Therum, Ilos, Virmire, Feros and Noveria mako rides were one of the most impressing level desings in the whole game - they were far better than any of the Hammerhead maps from ME2 (except the Project Overlord mission - it had great scenery - but that's a DLC we're talking about).

If they'd approached the Mako the way they did the Hammerhead, (ie, smaller, more focused and less generic terrain) there would have been alot les complaints about it. I'd love to get the Mako back, but a more durable Hammerhead would do just fine.

The Hammerhead itself is DLC as well...

It was a Cerberus Network freebie.
Project Overlord was an actual, quality DLC.

(not dissing the CN downloads, just saying that the paid ones were superior in every aspect)

I loved the Mako and Id love to see it brought back in ME3.

Ive said it in other threads that I would like to see a setup where you would need the HH for some Missions and the Mako for others. Im not a fan of the HH myself but you cant just shaft those who like it either.

What is to like.....All the "HH" adds is just another cut scene....There is no gameplay involved with it...Image IPB

Although i have got to have wheels!!!

I've been thinking about this recently because I am a massive fan of the mako and been pressing in its defense for months. I just felt the Hammerhead wasn't really a great substitute for it.

However I began to think what was it that was missing with the HH and it turns out I think it was the exploration element the Mako gave me. The Hammerhead I felt was terrible in its original DLC. However when it was placed in a new environment for Overlord the experience vastly improved and I enjoyed it. Overlord gave us an open terrain environment for the most part and let us cruise around quite freely.

I think if this freedom is recreated with the Hammerhead and improved on then I will begin to love it as much as the Mako. In the end its not the vehicle so much but the sandbox environment and exploration that I love and miss from ME1. This is needed to make the vehicle rival or even better the mako to me.

I am an explorer in games, so I need much space to explore. I also need interesting things to find however. Favorite find has to be the klepto space-cow.
Exploration of Mako, handling of HH is what I'd like.

...oh, and shifty looking space-cows.
