However I began to think what was it that was missing with the HH and it turns out I think it was the exploration element the Mako gave me. The Hammerhead I felt was terrible in its original DLC. However when it was placed in a new environment for Overlord the experience vastly improved and I enjoyed it. Overlord gave us an open terrain environment for the most part and let us cruise around quite freely.

I think if this freedom is recreated with the Hammerhead and improved on then I will begin to love it as much as the Mako. In the end its not the vehicle so much but the sandbox environment and exploration that I love and miss from ME1. This is needed to make the vehicle rival or even better the mako to me.

I mostly agree with you Overlord was great. The only thing that really pissed me off about the Hammerhead is the way it shoot.... like a billions of guided missiles in few seconds... I prefer the main/secondary gun of the Mako :police:

As mountainous as those damn planets were on ME1, I loved the challenge of trying to mountain climb a seemingly impossible slope. I felt like a champ every time I successfully climbed one.

I am an explorer in games, so I need much space to explore. I also need interesting things to find however. Favorite find has to be the klepto space-cow.
Exploration of Mako, handling of HH is what I'd like.

...oh, and shifty looking space-cows.

OH!!!! the HH sorry everyone i got it wrong i thought you were talking about that thing from ME2.....

Mako, or something similar, please.

Kill the Hammerhead with fire!

Or just sneeze on it.

Did you guys ever noticed that pupils of the mumified salarians were moving? No really... don't tell me I'm the only geek who watched them for longer than 10 seconds with a sniper rifle scope from one meter distance.

If the Hammerhead was as immersive as the Mako, I probably would have liked it .... but it wasn't even close.

1) You couldn't ever get a driver's view or a gunnery view in the HH. In the Mako you actually felt like you were driving a vehicle, where the HH felt like an arcade platformer. You should have been able to actually drive both vehicles using a splitscreen for front sides and back. Behind the wheel drive.

2) There was no way to physically use the HH in ME2 and you couldn't even aim any of the weapons. The Mako could be used as a physical weapon to ram through enemies and could be used to pin down larger Geth. There was just so much to do with it.

I think that eliminating the Mako was one of the worst design mistakes of ME2. If the HH was actually included in the game and had everything the Mako had it could have been wise decision, but it didn't ..... not even close.

Well you could pin down Geth with the Hammerhead... the only downside was that it wouldn't hurt them too much unless they fell off a clif and that you got instakilled by other Geth in most of the cases. It was cool but not close to mako.

Another marketing reason would be that they could restock the mako t-shirts in BioWare store if it was to show up in ME3.

I liked the Mako; I like the "travelling" around on the planet. While yes, I hated falling into some of the crevasses and couldn't get out, the element of exploring a planet and seeing the different terrain was awesome and integral to the story. I dug the moon landing; too bad we didn't go by the USA flag. But I'm in favor of bringing it back and maybe improve the controls.

I wouldn't mind if the mako returns, I just want one little change to it.... for it do not give you an instant game over the second it touches lava.

I want the M35 Mako back and a new tracked tank, maybe a futuristic hybrid of the Canadian tank (I forgot the name) + American M1 Abrams + Russian T-90.Put a 125mm tank gun,a coaxial 20mm Gatling gun and a pintle-mounted machine gun manned by one of your squadmates.

Like I said, you driving the tank/only operate the main gun and the Gatling gun like the Mako, the other one is manned by your squadmate. This make it easier when you on harder levels.

Where did Fallout 3 had co-op? And I can think of both Diablo and Neverwinter... not to mention few more Diablo cloned hack and slash games. All being more of a classic RPG than Mass Effect is... yet it worked.
