Mako for more hospitable planets that don't have vertical drops etc. Hammerhead for planets that had extreme terrain. And give us the ability to leave both vehicles again. And proper gear for team mates while we are at it.

The way I see it, the best mix is having a hover-tank like the hammerhead to cover handling issues, and some decent weaponry (maybe upgradeable?) and shielding like the original Mako.

But in ME1 the biggest issue with the Mako was the environments u were given to drive round in. It was just annoying using the Mako outside of a Main Story Mission.

So like, Mako-Hammerhead hybrid :)

Well, I disagree to some extend. The environments where much more believable than for instance the totally fake looking (skybox texture) and very limited freedom map in overlord. It was the rediculous mountains+mako handling + low quality grafics and the repetition of content that where the problem, but not the open world/map design.

There are so many games that have vehicles with wheels where the handling is fun. It is not impossible. A hovertank should not work on a world without air/atmosphere. If you could actually customize the vehicle in that regard that would be amazing.

the Mako needs to be fixed the controls and overall planet design for most planet was terrible. The Hammerhead and overlord was a step in the right direction.

Mako make a comeback? No thanks....I like it right where it is now - DESTROYED! No....just upgrade the Hammerhead, and it'll all be good.

Well I highly doubt they'll give us either the Mako or the Hammerhead back exactly as they were.  They will undoubtedly tweak them to better fit the new environment that is given to us.  I never really liked driving the Mako around on uncharted worlds too much, I like the straight to the point side missions of ME2 better.  So I would support a return of the Mako if they tweak it, and make it only usable on story missions.

Personally, I'd like to see a new and improved, sleek, sexy hover vehicle than a clunky rover in ME3.  I found driving and fighting in the Hammerhead to be much more fun than the Mako.

Oh, and to whoever said that the Hammerhead wouldn't be able to hover sans-atmosphere: why do you think it has those thrusters on the bottom, you know, the ones with blue flame?  I admit it would have more difficulty jumping, since it seems to use the fan to do that, but it would be able to hover just fine.

The Mako for streetfigting and the Hammerhead for more open terrain perhaps? But I get the feeling that we will get something new instead. Some kind of gunship perhaps.

Also wheels are cooler than hoverjets.

Mako and Hammerhead! I support all vehicles in ME3. I vote having vehicles strengthens the odds of success against reaper ground troops. I thought the team should have taken the Hammerhead into the collector base... even if it was a one off or decoy like sending an escort for the crew members.

If played to its strengths, the Hammerhead is a superior vehicle and would beat the Mako hands down in any fight but that said, I still have a nostalgic appreciation for the Mako and would gladly rescue it from the Normandy crash site (as it looked intact) if given the chance AND take it into battle.

TBH I thought the Hammerhead was neat, but the environments in Overlord were made of cheese. Nothing beautiful about them. Just generic, blocky scenery taped over a platforming level. I mean, why does Mass Effect need a platforming minigame anyway?

Just give us large, expansive planets to explore, outposts/bases dotting the landscape, and we'll be good. Make the thing able to withstand a reasonable level of damage (it has a shield, doesn't it?), mount a machine gun on there, make it feel a little slower and a little more powerful, and get rid of the heat-seeking missiles. When I fire a missile, I want it to mean something and I want to be able to lock-on to specific targets.

Overall moving on planets with whatever vehical seems to be a waste of time. But if the Mako would show up in ME3.... at least make it more practicall.

Im still hoping that the Mako makes a return in the next dlc. If it's alliance and VS, then a mako planet or 6 is called for... and there is still an empty spot on board the normandy hangar!

Well, I suppose to be honest, maybe the Hammerhead just needs a little tweaking/upgrading to work out.  I mean, maybe if they added some (okay, more than some) armor, shielding, guns, a turret that actually rotates, a UI, the ability to leave it when we choose, the ability to save while inside  and maybe some terrain that looked like terrain instead of an outdoor version of the corridors Shep runs through normally, it could be tolerableImage IPB

I have the t-shirt with that logo.  I wear it with pride... even if I get bemused looks from time to time.

maybe not Mako but some otherkind of APC with wheels would be nice, with alot better handling than Mako had, The Hammerhead just feels very rushed down and stupid, I dont want a tank that can jump over lava like somekind of super mario, I want a big TANK with ten ****loads of fire power who will slowly crush everything it runs over to

I liked the Mako but the ground levels were kind of lame. I thought for an upgrade, the Hammerhead was a little too lightly armed and armored. Hopefully, they'll bridge the gap in ME3.

The Mako was fine; it was the terrain that was crap. I'd love to have it back. Failing that, give the Hammerhead some decent shields/armor and, you know, an actual weapon.

I agree with this sentiment 100%.
