Give me hammerhead and all good. Mako on it's own was bloody boooooooooooring. Rly. Terrain was just to much. Even do I got every single side quest done it rly rly rly was to much to drive that thing around. Hammerhead on the other side was fun, would love to see some more things like Hammerhead, maybe combo hammerhead-mako thing but not original mako no way.

MAKO!

FTW!

All I can think of right now. Now that Bioware's budgets are bigger, perhaps they can focus on implementing it just about right this time. And I'm not suggesting any major changes, but just more polish on the how the original was.

The Hammerhead was a lame attempt at Sonic Effect. I don't need that. I need the wheels to touch the surface. The scale to feel right. The atmosphere to be there.

The Mako was fine; it was the terrain that was crap.

Agree with this for the most part. The Mako could work out really well it was revamped in ME3, it wasn't perfect by any means.

I found using Mako to explore planets kind of boring after the first time...

Preferably, bring me a hammerhead into the original planetscape. The Firewalker worlds seem too sterile and planned.

Driving around in a big open space like the Mako could certanly have it's charm. The very linear worlds for the Hammerhead got a bit dull rather fast.

Driving the Mako for too much time could get boring and the terrarin was just bad, but after meeting the Hammerhead and probing around the universe I just want to get the Mako back!

So the general concensus i'm hearing is that... for the most part... people hated the terrain that the Mako had... easily solved for ME3. People thought it was slow... okay I think a forward--boost similar to the Hammerhead would solve this.

I like the Hammerhead too though, I think having both vehicles... and the option to take either or on missions would present a challenge. Do you go head on and attack enemy locations... or hit and run tactics. I think there is some serious possibilities here for more strategic gameplay

I miss the Mako. In ME2 I get Firewalker and Overlord out of the way early so I do not have to deal the Hammerhead after they are done.

Just finished a stint of playing Mass Effect 1 & honestly i want the original Mako in all of its

glory but maybe with a few upgrades..(like a stupid ammo system on the main gun...hahaha...)

Although it isnt the Mako you all hated , it was those damn planets that you had to drive

around on for side missions with almost no payoff!!! There are a few planets in Mass Effect1

that look very similar to lets say... the Nevada desert...A smooth hill every now & then

but mostly a flat surface...& yes theres the ice planets with the cracks that you can fall

into & that could be improved , but i think if they brought the Mako back in

Mass Effect 3 it would have to be reserved for ocasional use & they could add more

payoff than a random probe crash on an uncharted world if they are sending you down

there...& lets admit that the new closed path side mission design makes Mass Effect feel alot

less like an RPG & more like Gears of War...We want our planetary exploration back!!!

(just with more payoff on the surface)

It should combine the best of both worlds the strengths of both the hammerhead mako and the me1 mako and the weaknesses of neither!

If they brought it back.. . I say give the wheeled demon some attitude. . . give it some speed and a button for boost!  Should I start from a stop and hit boost let it kick up a decent rooster tail!  I know of some spots where I wanted to jump that goofy thing! If only I had a bit more speed. . . Yea I also miss the old smokin big bore from it. . .  Zoom in on things. . . And the ability to get out at my leasure and admire the landscape.

Some sort of thruster kit would be nice too. . . so would planetary gravity effects eg some are at 1 g others at 1/3 g etc! . . . if need be I should be able to jump a massive chasm with the machine. Think of the movie Armageddon where Ben Affleck jumpped the rover across that deep ravine.

*whispers* oh and some flip over thusters, it always seemed odd the way it up righted it's self. . . Course that's when it could, lol the way I drove that thing I was always getting stuck upside down. I guess I drove it too much like a RC car!

Ah yes the old Mako. . . I used to drive that tank so hard I always ended up with 1 or 2 wheels red on it by the time I was done. . .

Alas one can dream. . . .

Still i'm fine with the Hammerhead too, I suppose. . .

But I will need some paint for both machines! lol I seem to leave paint on everything out there! And i suppose the crew mates will need a few barf bags too! :o

Once you learn the Mako's controls, it a blast driving it around places. Give it a speed boost option, faster shield replenishment (geez), tighter controls, occasional squad bickering/dialog and we're good to go.

Several people I have talked to about the Mako say the same thing, they were NOT sad to see it go, originally it was fun but it quickly became a chore, it was slow and the bouncing at such odd angles for no real reason made it a pain to use. I don't even use it in combat when I play the first ME over, I drive close to the target and let loose with normal weapons.

Bring the hammerhead with mako missions and i'll be super happy. Or mako with speed boost and the ability to control the front and back booster independetly. And please, please, please make it upgradeable. Bigger and different guns and ammo and maybe the ability to go from wheels to a hover style vechile. But even if bioware just brought back the mako I would be happy.

You are right.

Anything becomes a chore after you spend many hours JUST on it. The only way to prevent it is to add variety. That said, everything else moved closer to being the chore with the removal of Mako (and other stuff).

Having played through ME2, I would NOT be sad if they removed the shooting sections now. Let me guess... walking sections next. Hmm... and then conversations. Yeah, sounds like a plan. <_<

Sure I miss the Mako.
