I have a theory about the entire game... Flemeth was the one pulling the strings behind all of it. She made Loghain paranoid, pushing the country to war and wiping out all but 2 Grey Wardens... 2 Grey Wardens she could use, easier to convince 2 who are new to the order than an entire army of them. She saves you for purely selfish reasons, she wants an old god reborn through Morrigan, and that child is to be her next vessel.

The dog knew it all along, but we were too stubborn to recognize the signs. A half dead rabbit in Morrigan's underwear? Obviously symbolic of the demonic child she'd be giving birth to.

well, if your dog was as awesome as mine was (at least by the end of the game) he probably plowed straight through the darkspawn lines, destroying all that stood in his way until he found his master =P

exactly! My dog liked Scobby Snacks and would follow me to ends of the planet for them!

the conspiracy is afoot .... you know along those lines, notice how quickly and easily duncan agreed to the king's request of sending the two new wardens to the tower and away fromt he fighting that was garunteed to kill them, and in fact insisted the two wardens go, he was in on the plan all along and knew he needed to place such valuable "pawns" where they would be able to survive, or at the least he knew somehow that the main fighting would be a death sentence and that the two would somehow survive even while the rest of the wardens would perish >.>
