Reason why console to PC ports ussually are poor is instead of bring the game up to code with a PC they just bring over the capped contents of the console version. In a more explained terms due to the more advanced hardware and software coding the PC recieved we have a larger limit on what our Machines can do, console are stuck working on a varaint of Directx9 that has some Directx10 elemetes included. PC gamers also get more advanced lighting features again due to coding but also in larger part PC gamers ussually have more RAM then the consoles, thus more work space room.
Also one finally point PC gamers are the only ones that can legal mod their games. If you put a mod on a PS3 or Xbox360 expect to see your Live account banned due to breach of EULA. If you don't know what that is then you really should check the paper work that comes with your console.

They said they have included DX11 which is PC only. What effort did they invest in PS3 or XBOX360 only graphics? Zero. So PC once again will ahve the upper hand. The lead SKU is PC, we will get a sloppy port.
And how should the somewhat dated consoles support DX11 features while maintaining a decent framerate? PC technology happens to evolve, while consoles are locked until the next generation arrives. Both consoles and PC have their advantages and disadvantages. And, honestly, the ammount of sloppy ports on PC isn't small - with quite a few releases (and especially DLC) being console only. The gras isn't always greener on the other side.

The fact is, the most money comes from console port games most of the time, only have to look at DC Universe, which only just is doing better on PS3 and is a better port then the PC version, it's a well known fact that the PS3 console ports of Dragon Age wasn't as well ported as Dragon Age was ment to be a PC/Xbox only game till they had a change of mind, which led to Dragon Age coming out later, and mutli platform.

Not really a good example, DC Universe is selling better on PS3 because PC users have a plethora of good MMO's to choose from compared to console users who have hardly any. Not to mention DC Universe is too shallow when compared to most PC MMO's.

I still like my PC but in the end people have to choose what platform to play because some games do better on the consoles and other on the PC and I would not worry about DA 2 I bet the console version will be good and probably we "PC Nobles" will have some bug fest to party with.

It's a example for a pointless thread, cba to list all the better examples on this thread which is fast becoming a runing joke

....What about the shoddy port onto PC OP?
Yeah, game ports are not perfect and your point is? I would rather have a game available for the system I own then to only have it available on other systems. Who cares if your game has worse graphics, you still get to play it.

I'm sorry OP that's wasn't very constructive of me...
I enjoyed DA:O on PC far more than on 360 or PS3 too. Isn't choice grand?

I would have gone with common, misleading, and predictable as adjectives myself.
There is a very effective way of proving your point: Don't buy the next game. Period.
Pre-emptively failing a game that is not yet out, and when there is every evidence that they are making it more console-friendly, especially in a very confrontational tone is not a decent way to start a civilized conversation. What do you expect them to do, stop by and say sorry?
I got PS3 version first and switched to PC because I enjoy the resolution of my monitor and being able to mod it. There are more choices out there.

I'm still 99% sure though that, once again, the PC version of DA2 will suffer the console low to medium res textures even though there is zero reason to not include proper high res textures for the PC.

To PC gamers, please do not flame this thread. Just try to imagine how you'd feel if you always got sloppy ports instead of same plaftform development you always get. Support our cause if you find it in your hearts.
The PC (mouse) controls on that are still virtually unplayable. Thankfully it had 360 controller support... and the DS2 controls actually work on the PC.
There are plenty of sloppy console -> PC ports.
Wait, so you expect them to somehow add DX11 support to consoles that do not support it? You do realise DX11 support is hardware based, not software based right? The Masked Rog wrote...

Consoles are limited by CPU, RAM and GPU capabilities, high-end PCs are always going to be able to exceed console graphics.
If you don't like that... well you can complain, but it will make no difference.
This post is not an attempt to flame you in any way, I am just pointing out that your expectations are unrealistic.
