I was hoping for a blue alert, but it does mean that we'll have to change the bulb.

this threadis full of lolz

btw, I'm a console player and for one I'm glad bioware ported DAO to the 360 since it was supposed to be a pc only game..... even tho maybe it was a bit rushed.

as for DA2 I am glad all versions are being simultaneously developed even tho PC Elitists will always complain about that

Dragon Age Origins on PS3 is the same or better than the Xbox one so stop complaining, don't even hope to think it will reach the PC. Blame both consoles. You are very Naive.

They said they have included DX11 which is PC only. What effort did they invest in PS3 or XBOX360 only graphics? Zero. So PC once again will ahve the upper hand. The lead SKU is PC, we will get a sloppy port.

Devs are limited by the hardware, what a lot of people seem to forget or don't know about is that a complex scene can involve many different textures, the choice becomes high number of textures at low quality or low number of textures at high quality, I'm over simplifying this, but suffice to say that console hardware needs to play catch up.

LOL

yeah only for movies... :D.. and games with symbol PS3 they start's on Xbox 360 ;)

Well, I agree with the OP. ♬We ain't gonna take it anymore♪ -  I've actually boycotted every single console game that ever existed! Well, I never had a console in my life so that helped too! May have missed a few games like Red Dead which I hoped they launched for the PC but I really never had much time to regreat it. There are sh*tloads of amazing great games for the PC for me to cry about "exclusive" stuff.

It wasn't a port for one. And for two, I don't think they could of made the controls any better considering the limitations of the dualshock 3. It's the same on the 360.

DA2 has been developed in parallel on all three platforms. Nobody's getting a "sloppy port".

Specific improvements for the console, from the gameplay team ('cause that's what I know):
- Press-A-to-attack makes it easier to retarget on the fly. Console autotargeting target selection logic has been improved. Auto-attack is still available if you prefer.
- Radial menu has better, more consistent behavior for issuing multiple orders.
- Radial move-to-point command added. No more driving characters into position while the rest of your team gets shot at or beaten on.

That's off the top of my head. Many improvements aren't specific to the console UI but improve console gameplay nonetheless.

Dragon Age Origins was supposed to be a pc exclusive. It was designed as a pc rpg after all. Be thankful that you have a PS3 version of the game. PC users had to wait around 8 months to get their game (official release was planned in March 2009). Also, PC users had to wait for their patches and DLC for PS3 and XBOX360 users to get Sony and Microsoft certification. All gaming sites in their reviews "warned" you that the console versions are lesser in quality from the PC version. These are true facts and not my opinion. Do some research before you buy or before you start warning threads.

Umm.....okay....how to break this......PS3 don't have no "A" button. We have an "X" button.

Epic fail on Biowares part.

I don't know why but the consoles always get the shaft when compared to PCs.

Not true the most time it's the other way around. Should I start to name all the console-Games that were badly ported to PC??

The Masked Rog wrote...
Development happens on the PC, then it is badly ported to consoles. Well, I don't think your fanbase is willing to have that anymore. DA2 is shaping just to be like DA:O, PC getting better graphics (DX11), a different camera, etc...

Yeah do you know why? Because the PC has much higher ressources than any 6year old consol has.
That you won't get DX11 on PS3 is nothing BioWare can be blamed for, and you won't get it till we get the PS4 and Xbox720 or whatever.

The Masked Rog wrote...
I urge BioWare to reconsider, unless you want to see the PS3 sales plummeting. The PS3 players have been the developer's sheeple for too long. We demand that this abominable practice of porting everything badly from the PC to PS3 be stopped, and games actually be developed with PS3 in mind.

Just to mention: The biggest profit in the US for example is by the console games, so I'm sure that in case you won't buy it because you think Bioware is doing a sloppy job nobody at EA would even notice because there are enough other players that will buy the game for console.

In this special case I'm happy to live in Germany. In our country it'sthe opposite with concoles and PC.In addition statistics say that we have the hardware with the highest potential worldwide.

So BioWare I'm waiting for the neat graphics on my PC!!! :D

I really don't think Bioware will repeat their own mistakes.

And besides, you have Uncharted 2, therefore all your complaints are invalid.

He didn't say "improvement for PS3", he said "improvement for console". Most of the people know that in DAO the A and the X have the same function, so I don't see the problem.

Because PS3 users couldn't possibly work out what he meant from that. ;)

Oh my gosh he got a button mixed up - it's obviously the end of the world.

Since this thread is about PS3, he should be talking about PS3 controls as well. It doesn't help if Seb is reasuring the PS3 crowd that it wont be "some port" if he refers to Xbox controls. Sounds like he doesn't know what hes talking about when it comes to PS3.

Not that i agree with OP. PS3 version (DAO) is same on par with xbox, i dont think it has any problems, OP is graphics wh0re.

Did you see the graphics on the Xbox 360 version? They weren't much better I assure you. Either were the controls.

It's a good thing I didn't get the game for either.

I believe that Seb wasn't referring only to xbox control, but to the console control. He simply wrote the wrong button. When I bought the Xbox, when I talked about the controller I said X and not A, because I played on PS2 for a lot of years, and I am used to the dualshock. Now when I play on PS3 I said A instead of X.

^^ this. The games are pretty equal, the only things differing is just the controls really and maybe a few glitches. Maybe the PC versions are superior. But alot of you are making other console owners look bad with the constant nagging.
