Pssst..... Leliana's voice actress is French....antigravitycat wrote...
I ended up with... none. Dog, well that was completely platonic, but I love him lol. So actually none. I just finished my first playthrough (Origins, Awakening and the DLCs) and did not find a suitable and romancable female.
Wynne has a good character but is too old - although ingame she does not look bad or old at all, just look at that body... lol - and you cannot romance her.
The most I liked to romance Sigrun, she seems a very righteous person and as member of the legion of the dead - which is just bada** - she is a pretty tough woman too, I like that combination. And yeah, I like smaller women. ^^
For the others... well Morrigan, I couldn't stand her. Disqualified because of her bigoted blabla and - by the way very incoherent - "survival of the fittest" philosophy.
I liked to listen to Lilianas stories, but then there was too much about shoes and clothes (as much as I like good shoes and clothes). And I don't like faked french accent or whatever that is supposed to be, that was unbearable (as much as I love to hear and speak the french language myself).
So in the end, no love for me in Dragon Age. But at least I got good company. I still have Ser Pounce-a-lot with me (for whatever reason Anders didn't take him with him, what an ...) and Dog of course.
So Who did you end up romancing?

its canadian french. Which is why it must sound weird. And sadly shes the only voice actress that actually speaks french. All the other french accents are faked......

Leliana's voice is actually pretty low on the list of reasons I like her. French accents just don't do anything for me.

Oh, so the voice actress is canadian? That's interesting. I already thought they might have hired some canadian there. But wasn't sure at all. While I can tell southern french from northern french and so on no problem, but with what Leliana speaks... so it is canadian french lol.The Water God wrote...

(Sadly I do not know much about it and heard it only a few times, as a non native french it is a bit more difficult. :S What I know is that french find it a rather funny accent and way of talking, it sound rather antiquated, retaining much of the older french when the settlers moved over.)
Anyway, her accent doesn't sound as stupid as mine so I guess I shouldn't criticize her so much. But that accent coupled with talk about shoes and clothes is just a stereotype overkill. Feels completely wrong

I thought I was going to hate him after first meeting him. Didn't like his looks, either. I ended up enjoying his romance a great deal. I was impressed with the amount of dialogue. Probably the best game romance I've ever played (I still prefer Kaidan, but the ME romances are a joke compared to DA:O).
Second playthrough: Morrigan
- Being able to bed her the first night in camp was disappointing, but it's an interesting romance. I don't know why (she's the opposite of me in almost everything) but I like her a lot. It's probably the voice *g* Gotta love her scathing remarks. Romancing her was like walking through a minefield, though. God, she's easily offended for somebody who pretends not to care about other people's opinions! I had to reload a lot because I messed up the conversations all the time ^^ (Sten was worse, though)
I'm still on my second playthrough. I intend to do all the romances. Leliana is next. Zevran will come last. I'll do him out of morbid curiosity. He tried to kill me on my first playthrough. Now he likes me but I still don't like him. No offense to anybody, but he makes me want to scrub myself in the shower. And I find him much more morally despicable than Morrigan!
Leliana started to annoy me when she started talking about shoes and how she loves pretty things. When she told me fighting the Archdemon was so much *fun* I wanted to stab her... I missed her personal quest on my first playthrough. Maybe I'll like her more after this supposed personality shift.

2nd character - male human mage - romanced Zevran and Morrigan until he was forced to choose between them. He chose Morrigan
3rd character - female human rogue to be played after I finish Awakenings - will romance Alistair
