I dont wanna make another thread that is the same lols i looked but couldnt find a thread like this, i found a "is the wardens story over" thread but i want to know if people mind.  So if this is a double post just close it. :)

Anyway, does anyone else mind that the wardens story is over? Personally, i dont. Now i loved all my wardens, i felt a great connections with them that i havent felt in another RPG before (i tried to play ME but i am just terrible with shooters, i want to play it but oh wells). I will always care for my wardens and i will miss playing with them (lol sounds dirty :innocent:) but i am happy with the new story, i will admit i was upset for a little bit but then moved on. Hawke sounds cool and from what we have heard of DA2 it sounds so cool.

What about everyone else?

Wasn't attach to them anyway. I see them dying a glorious death, or a pathetic death not worthy of praise. My warden is dead in my mind so time to move on.

Nope.

I had fun playing my various Wardens in Origins. Not so much in Awakening, and not at all in Golems or WH.

Wardens duty is to stop a Blight. Awakening was somewhat Blight-related, as it dealt with Darkspawn not going back to the Deep Roads, but Golems and WH really didn't have much, if anything, to do with one.

So, unless they're going to keep making Blights, I'm done being a Warden.

I'm fine with it. Time to see some more of Thedas, meet some new people and see how things evolve over time.

Completely the opposite. They needed to start something new and there was no way they could meaningfully continue the story. Even Awakening really struggled with the continuity.

I don't mind his story being over; however, I think the Warden will be back in some capacity if you let him live. Not in DA2 of course, but I don't think Bioware is quite through with the Warden as of yet. The Warden's "story" is done, but that doesn't mean he can no longer "participate" in a story. Just imo I suppose.

They said his story with the arch-demon plot is over. Not his personal story.

Regardless, yes. I do mind it. I grew very attached to my warden not to mention some of the companions. but oh well. I prefer the way DA2 is going over DA:O anyways. Hopefully i'll see some cool mentions of my warden through my various playthroughs :)

But he - or she - could be dead, having performed the US.

That would make it difficult to participate in a new story, no?

Don't mind it at all. I'm looking forward to a new story with a fresh start.

Im cool with my Wardens story ending,I just wish we could have had a "Calling" DLC to go out with a bang. I would have loved to see my Warden fight darkspawn until he gets overwhelmed eventually.Sad but fitting ending...oh well Im sure I will love Hawke and Fam just as much but a quick Calling dlc would have been cool....IMHO.

No, I don't mind. But people were really bothered by it when Hawke was first announced, where are these people now? Changed their minds? Fled the forum? Not entered the thread yet?

Also we could just keep playing the warden over and over, because if Bioware killed off the warden people would still complain... or not believe he/she was truely dead.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to Hawke :) Sorry for the rant!

Your warden could be dead, chasing after morrigan, king/queen of ferelden, back in orzamar, off with Sten to see Par Vollen, wandering aimlessly etc etc. How would you suggest the story tackles, all these scenerios and more, in a new game?

I'm looking forward. Dragon Age have much more to offer than ''The Grey Wardens''. And who knows if they are in-game as a cameo or something. I'll play this game Grey Wardens or not. after all, the game is not Called ''Grey Wardens' II''.

Yeah, a bit. I'm less upset and more just a little sad. I'd kinda hoped that we'd get a situation like in Baldur's Gate where you stayed with a character over the course of multiple games. But it's not something that's making me go NOOOOOOO!!!

Hm. Do I "mind," as in "I'm upset?" No. I am disappointed that there won't be any more playable Warden goodness, but I'm not about to storm the Bioware gates over it. Also, Hawke looks freakin' AWESOME, and I can't wait for DA II. So I guess I'm in that weird place where I want more Origins stuff but am also really psyched for 2.

Not if the focus of the story is not on the Warden himself. Siggh I suppose I'll just use Morrigan as an example as Laidlaw has said they are not done with her story. Some people went through the mirror with Morrigan; some didn't. True, they could just make the Warden go "poof" and never bring him/her back, but if the main "story" is about Morrigan then the Warden doesn't necessarily have to be there.....since he/she is not the focus.

That being said, that doesn't mean Wardens who died do not have a hand in Morrigan's fate. Personally, I think you chose her "fate" (if Bioware continues her story) when you decided whether or not to do the DR.

Anyway in a capcity such as that I think the Warden could come back.
