I find it hard to miss being an emotionless mute who communicates through telepathy.

No. I was expecting and hoping they would lay the Warden to rest with Origins long before "Awakening" was released. Actually, I think it would have been better if she was not the star of that expansion either. Origins had tidier, more satisfying conclusions for the most part. Unless a game is planned as part of an ongoing series with a set protagonist in mind a la "Baldur's Gate" or "Mass Effect", I prefer protagonists wrap their stories up. Nothing the Warden can do at this point will top her prior accomplishments, and if a story came along to up the ante it would just be ridiculous at this point.

I definitely do not mind. With any luck, Hawke's story does not extend beyond DA2 as well. Come DA3, I want to be another person's shoes.

Kind of. I could give 2 ****s about Morrigan, and my Wardens never really got resolution, as such.

What Seagloom said.

The Wardens conclusion has only been getting foggier and less coherent ever since DA:O ended.

Really, with all of those possible endings how could they make a strong or focused story about the Warden without making a joke of Origins by wiping the slate clean?

Not really, though I'm disappointed the Warden's story post-Origins was carried out in rather mediocre fashion. I wish it had ended in a more engaging, fulfilling manner through Awakenings until Witch Hunt.

Though I'm not looking forward to playing a fully voiced character a whole lot, I'm not bothered that the Warden's story is not continuing.

I think the thing that bugs me the most is that the Warden's story was wrapped up pretty nicely in Origins, then Awakening and Witchhunt came around and sort of hinted at, "hey there's more!"

I'm fine with my Warden and his story ending. My warden rode into the sunset with Leliana having made Thedas a considerably better place as measured by archdemons and darkspawn slain.

I'm fine with it being over for now. But that all changes once Morrigan comes back...

I'll say it: my Warden was a total dud. Glad to see her go. LONG LIVE (Mike) HAWKE.

No I don't really care at all. Dragon Age Origins was a good game but it's time for another main character. I hope every DA game has a new main character

No, I think the warden serve his purpose, one way or the other

As much as I hate the old 'QFT' post, I have to quote this one as it's almost exactly the way I feel.

in all honesty? I mind that all the chopices I made will not affect Hawke the same way they would affect the warden if he was the protagonist in DA2

I mean....there is a difference between

"well, sir, if you must know some gray warden prevented me from going to fulfill my dream of studying in the circle tower"

and

"YOU BASTARD, you ratted me out to my father and trapped me in orzammar for the rest of my life.....no discount for you!"

At first, yes. It felt like there was no closure on 3/4 of my wardens stories. But it doesn't look like we'll ever be playing them again, so I forgot about my wardens and now I look forward to Hawke.

Nope, not really. I've closed their stories in my own mind and that's all that matters to me.

If it turns out Anders is the character we are excepting that mystery Mage to be. He became a warden n awakening so the warden story wouldn't really be over, just our personal wardens
