I don't mind that it's over, just hate how it ended - Awakening final, WH.

I only really have 3 main Wardens. My guy Warden did the US, one became a corrupt ruler and as such, it didn't feel right to have her become Commander of the Grey, since it seemed OOC. She hated being a Grey Warden, so why would she continue doing her 'duty' when she could just get someone else to do it?

And my other main Warden.. the Awakening ending kinda fit. Like, really did fit. She romanced Alistair, he did the US and I imagine that it sent her into a really dark place. Her running away from her life really did fit, and her last known appearance was killing Morrigan. (I imagine she blamed her for the death of her lover. I imagine her as just lashing out, and wishing she DID pick the Dark Ritual option, but blames Morrigan for providing only one escape that compromised her morals).

So yeah.. all my Warden stories are finished. I'm happy to move on.

No I do not miss him, I accept Dragon Age for what it is...a living world with more important people then -movie narrator voice- THE GREY WARDEN! -end voice- And honestly people...please stop acting like the God Baby is canon and we will play as it later on...it's not going to happen...period. It won't happen because there is a chance of it never being born and will therefor never be anything more then something not important that the story does not need to progress.

Obviously we might hear something about it later, however to think it will be important to the story in some way is foolish...because US will not simply be dismissed. Don't bring up the "look at Awakening" excuse eaither because Bioware devs have already said US will be reconized by all future imports into DA2 and beyond. This is also why I wouldn't expect anything to come from walking into the mirror with her either, because it would defy the variable of US which will not be dismissed in the grand scheme of things.

Plus, the Warden can die - I hear thats kinda bad for starring in a sequel.

Hmmm? Whats that? Mass Effect 2 is on line one.=]

I didn't say it was impossible, just difficult to implement.

It's only difficult if the story is focusing on the Warden. If the Warden is a side PC in someone else's story then it won't matter if the Warden is alive or dead as the Warden is NOT the central character. If US was used then he won't be there. If DR was used and he's alive then he will be there.

As I mentioned earlier a dead Warden does not mean a Warden without impact on others lives. Heck, a whole story could be made for Morrigan's fate based simply on the choice of using or not using the DR.

Another Warden game would be like eating the same thing for weeks and nothing else... I like diversity combined with continuity - if we agreed on burritos for meal tomorrow don't act like we decided to eat hot dogs. Simply don't ask me for opinions if you don't care about them anyhow...

I'll miss my Warden. At least he got some resolution, going off on adventures with Leliana and living happily ever after.( i havent played Awakening, golems or witch hunt, so I don't know if that messes anything up) I would hate if Bioware ruined my Warden's future like Obsidian ruined my Revan's future. WTF I stayed with Bastila and made little padawans, WTF then Obsidian suddenly take control of my Revan and make him disappear. Well FU Obsidian.

So I don't want to see Leliana in future, left all on her own saying the Warden disappeared on some quest and was never heard of again.

I'm sad that the Warden won't see Morrigan anymore, had I fully pursued a romance with her I would be very extremely annoyed to have it left up in the air. Particularly if Morrigan would appear in future Dragon Age games sans Warden.

I enjoyed playing as the Warden. I don't know what all this bother is with no sound. I voiced him pretty well in my head, with my... imagination *gasps*

I played him as how I like to think I would act in Ferelden. When I play a character like Shepard (fully voiced, etc) although I tend to play in my moral alignment, I don't find myself playing as myself, but more asking myself of how I think Shepard would/should behave based. It's a bit different to how I played my Warden.

As I said before more imagination was involved with my Warden, so I will have to wait and see how Hawke plays.

The Wardens' story isn't over. I'll be playing DAO for quite some time, I suspect.

How many times have you completed the game? Just curious.

Completed?  Just once.  It's a long game.

But I have hundreds of hours of gameplay spread across all of my characters (I currently have 8 characters somewhere between Lothering and the Landsmeet).

Wait a minute.....once?

Why? ( I have my own reason for completing it just once)

I'm not done yet.  I'm sure I will complete it more times.  I just haven't yet.

I was annoyed at first DA2 wouldn't continue the story of my warden. But I promptly forgot about it once I heard Isabella and swashbucklers would be in the game. Posted Image

I just wish Awakening had been a more satisfying end to the Warden's tale than it was. It failed badly in that regard.
