You underestimate the modders out there who have tons of time.
Lol wut.
I admire the modding community BECAUSE what they do takes a lot of work.
They deserved to get paid for it, too. The fact that they give it out for free--that they put that stuff out knowing that they will
never be paid for it since copyright law says so--shows some serious effort and love for the game. If anyone's "underestimating" them, it's the people who expect them to just pop this stuff out all the time like it was nothing.
However, Bioware is a corporation, and corporations exist to make money. Therefore, it's pretty much expected that they'd charge you. I could silk-screen the Pepsi logo onto a T-shirt for my friend, but if they want an "official" Pepsi shirt, they pay money for it.
And I rather pay 10 dollars for a story and some shooting then pay 10 dollars for 5 packs of "outfits".
You can just
not buy them, you know. As for me, spending two bucks on something goofy is acceptible. I can't do it all the time (otherwise I'd be broke), but every once in a while it's like "lol, Thane's puttin' on his hater shades."
If you don't buy something, you can't complain about being ripped off. I, for one, will happily pay money to make Miranda put some damn clothes on, just like I'd pay a buck for a candy bar. I don't need it, and I can definitely think of better ways to spend my money, but a little treat every now and then makes me happy.
