I hope that they're not. I hope that Miranda's outfit doesn't come with a proper helmet and it irritates those that whined about non-armoured squadmates the same way that that Bioware's pandering to them irritates me.

Yes. BioWare is clearly "pandering" to the people who didn't like squadies wearing casual clothes in combat by finally giving ONE character honest armor after nearly a year. Your logic is impressive.

Anyway, it looks good, will probably buy it. I'm not missing out on the chance to have my Krogan foster child wearing two visors which makes him look like he's got a serious eye problem.

Give everyone an alternate look
The look is functional in the game and not just wardrobe additions.

"Generic" armor for the sake of appearance is better than no armor look at all. Too bad they aren't gonna wear more than that silly plastic mask in some areas. Makes no sense to not wear a helmet in those places. Even Garrus wears his old helmet in non-breathable areas.

It's certainly more impressive than your diction.
If you're seriously trying to dispute the fact that Miranda's new, generic armour is anything less than Bioware "catering to the desires of others" then you should probably find a more educative way to spend your time than calling the intelligence of random internet users into question.
It's clear when comparing the squad attire choices in both Mass Effect games, that the artists wanted to take a different approach with ME2. Style over practicality, you might say. Miranda's new generic armour goes against that. Ergo, it's pandering.

You make an odd point. They're selling the pack. For money. Of course they're going to make the outfits desirable by others. Otherwise they wouldn't sell any. A simple reskin isn't going to be high on the desirability scale unless its free.
But its really just as likely the Designers came up with a new look they thought was nifty and rolled with it. Because a more armored outfit is anything but fan service.
Now if comes with a plaid schoolgirl skirt, I might be inclined to agree with you...

So, basically, Garrus' look is so cool that the rest of the squaddies have started to copy him?
Dissapointed that Tali's is simple, but it's still nice. Nice to see an armoured Miranda, and Grunt's new armour looks sweet.

Like the "We want Earth for ME3, Bioware!" "Earth in ME3? Really Bioware?" threads.

Also big YES to no sunglasses. Jack had a great new outfit, but the sunglasses make me sad, seeing as she actually had very expressive eyes.
I must agree there. That outfit was her best one. But the glasses covered up one of her best features. (her mouth being the other...get your mind out of the gutter!)

You already have 2 catsuits for Miranda while we "generic armor lovers" are after a YEAR are getting at least one armor for squadmate. Let us enjoy it please, no one dictates you to put Miranda in armor in your game, but many others want it.Val Seleznyov wrote...

Certainly looks like it from what little it shows on that picture.
Miranda looks like she's wearing a decent suit of armour, Tali looks a little more armoured and grunt looks hard as nails, ( although he looks like he still has bare arms. And why oh why does everyone have to have eyegear of some kind?
So that means that so far, we've had :
Pack 1 - Garrus, Thane and Jack
Pack 2 - Miranda, Tali and Grunt
Who and what do you reckon are going in Packs 3 and 4? ( If they come out. )
I'm hoping that it'll be..
Pack 3 - Mordin with Salarian combat armour, Samara/Morinth with Asari commando armour and Zaeed with Heavy Blue Suns armour.
Pack 4 - Jacob with Kestrel , Legion with no stupid sodding hole in his chest and Kasumi with ... well, i'm not sure about Kasumi as I like what she wears already.

No offense, but if you want to play "pretty-in-combat" dress-up, maybe you could just buy some Barbie dolls and action figure weapons, and have the time of your life playing non-sensical firefights.
On a more serious note, you do get that most people are actually dissatisfied with BioWare's new "style above all sense" approach for Mass Effect 2, right?

I agree with Phadeon. I remember ages ago the threads back saying "will earth be in ME3" and threads before that, now there's threads cropping up everywhere complaining about it?

Don't judge the game before we learn anything beyond a teaser trailer (usually not accurate) and a (leaked) blurb that may be subject to change. The term Earth may have even be used simply for marketing purposes.Babli wrote...

But for mission in space, Garrus and Tali are still the only ones ready for it in my playthroughs

FereldenEarth" scenario to be whole focus of a game as it looks from EA description.
Also, humanity has always been the focus of the games, and even since ME1 it's been obvious Bioware was trying to say they have a large role in stopping the reapers. I don't get the humanity complaints...

In two weeks, we'll be back to "Bioware doesn't listen to it's community" threads.
Then there'll be threads complaining about the community "runing the games for them", like the other day.

You're skirting the point; the point being that after a year of waiting, throwing a single bone to the fanbase over what is quite possibly THE MOST REQUESTED appearance change in all of Mass Effect is hardly an example of BioWare "pandering" to anyone.
And even if they were, considering how much they've "pandered" to the 14-year-old X-treme shooter crowd with the thermal clip system and the sexified outfits, I don't think it's too much to ask that they throw a little bone from time to time to their old-school fans.

Although i wasn't involved in anything even remotely resembling a heavy firefight, i served in the Russian navy. If you want to experience a more serious and realistic approach to combat, maybe you could do that?
Am i supposed to care that some players dislike the new approach? I love it, and that's what Bioware did with ME2. I really, really hope that this appearance pack isn't a sign of things to come in Mass Effect 3.
