Woah, actual armor for Miranda! It's good to see that you guys have been listening to feedback in all of those threads.

Grunts armor looks pretty cool but his character is already armored. Maybe BW should've armored Thane, Jacob or Samara. I like the fact that Miranda is armored though. That alone justifies buying this. Tali's armor looks OK even if it just a plated version of her envirosuit.

I guess I'll just have to hope ME3 get the squad armor back on track to something like ME1 had or something else but still practical for mission use.

I think that it increases damage just like Shepard armor.

Pretty pumped about miri's armour. Tali re-skin is kind of annoying, and now I think i'll finally use grunt because I thought his armour was always lacking before and looked goofy. (not that the visor doesn't look goofy)

It's not. They're planning on another DLC to tie up ME2 and ME3.

of course. Bioware talked about last DLC which will be second bigger next to shadow broker. it won't be side mission like overlord. it will make the connection of story to ME 3. it will be second DLC for that.

I still find it funny how people keep saying 'it's just $2!!'. Okay, so that's $2 for three outfits. So it's $8, almost 1/6th of the original, full retail price, blah blah blah.

Seems to be some confusion. The Alternate Appearance Pack 2 (or AAP2) costs $1.99 for all 3 outfits. Not per outfit.

Or was I misunderstanding the above comment?

I think Gleym is referring to the two currently released AAP's, plus maybe two more (Jacob, Legion, Samara/Morinth; Kasumi, Zaeed...maybe), hence the $8 figure for a new outfit for everyone. Having said that, I don't believe Bioware will give extra outfits for Zaeed or Kasumi.

Which means they'll either a) Make one more pack with 4 outfits for the remaining team mates for either $2, or more likely a little more for the one extra than usual, or B) make two packs with 2 outfits and charge $2 for each.

Either way, it's still running around $6-8 just for one piece of clothing per partymember in a $60'ish game. In contrast to the amount of money spent on the DLC's based on what you're getting, and based on how much the game itself cost, it's essentially a scam.

EDIT: In fact, give me a sec here and I'll even go ahead and crunch numbers on how much it'd cost if you purchased all of the DLCs available, plus the potential other Appearance Packs. I'll even include what you get out of the free DLCs and then compare them to what you're getting on the whole.

To be honest, I would pay twice as much as I had for LotSB. It was well worth every point/dollar and more.

It was.

Here's to hoping ME2's last DLC is bigger and better than Lair of the OH MY GOD THAT THING CANNOT POSSIBLY HAVE HAD SEX BEFORE.

Well, after doing a quick number crunch, we're talking roughly $34-6 for a grand total of four actual missions (Zaeed and Kasumi's loyalty quests, Overlord and LotsB), a handful of random assignments (a dozen or so I think, give or take), a few of weapons, two full-armors and I think two or three armor sets. Oh, and one outfit per team-mate excluding Zaeed and Kasumi.

..That's half the price of the game and it's just fluff. LotSB is the longest mission and even then that's about as much as one of the main campaign missions. Overlord is almost as long, and Zaeed and Kasumi's missions are over in no time. For that kind of money you should be getting an Expansion with an entire extra campaign like Throne of Bhaal was for Baldur's Gate 2.

Interesting you mention that, I remember when expansions were viewed like DLC: money grabbing attempts with little content value.

Unofrtunately, there isn't anything we can do. Unlike Shep, the NPC's don't come as a body and a head, they come (like the DLC armour) as just the one model. That means we can't swap the glasses head to the non-glasses head whilst keeping the armoured body.

LOL... glasses on Batarian or Yagh squadmates.. how would that look!

Anyway I'm a little disappointed its a Alt Appearance pack... its nice actually but I wouldn't pay for it.  I hope they make one more DLC thats at least as long as OVERLORD or LOTSB

Don't worry folks, another big DLC is along the way. This Alt Appearance Pack is just to whet the appetite and quench the thirst at the same time.

:( Bioware... c'mon, it is most likely a last AAP for ME2, why couldn't you make the skins for all characters?... I mean yeah, half of them will have more skins, but it is that it is unfair, i guess it is more important to have a "fresh-look" for every of the characters in the final part of ME2! In addition, if you make these final parts, it would've been good to make some last, awesome armor for Shepard too.

It would've been so cool to have the new power, new design, new out-fit in the last DLC-mission before Mass Effect 3
