(Pc version, physical disk, patch 1.2, Bring down the sky and Pinnacle station DLC)

Hi guys, i'm having some problems with the cutscenes on the Citadel. After dealing with the husks and Avina following my arrival from the Conduit, i take the elevator to reach the top of the tower. After the video of the confrontation between Sovereign and the turian fleet, i find myself blocked in the elevator, unable to do anything while the game goes on. It seems that it is unable to load the video in which the elevator breaks and the team enter in the maintenance shaft. I already tried reloading previous saves and reinstalling the game. Do you have any idea on how can i solve this? The following are the specifics of my pc:

Processor:  Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 3.20GHz
Physical memory:  1,49 GB
Display adapter:  ASUS AH3450 Series
Driver version:  8.620.0.0
Sound adapter: C-Media Wave Device
Driver version:  5.12.1.50
VRAM:  256 Mb
Operatyng system:  Windows XP Professional
DirectX version:  9.0c

Tell me if there is any other information i should provide. Thanks in advance.

What leaps out at me is the age of your machine, both CPU and the bus architecture of your video card. AGP cards do not have the same throughput as PCIx, and I dare say it is bottlenecking the data and preventing it from being displayed. The area which you are about to enter is probably the most graphically demanding part of the game.

You could try stripping Windows back to bare bones, removing any programs running in the background, and possibly overclocking you video card, but I cant promise that will work.

It seems that it doesn't work, but i suppose this means nothing. If you're right, probably i just have to try with a more modern hardware. It would be a little sad, since the game went discretly smooth up to now, despite my old machine. Thanks for the advice all the same.

Even when it was brand spanking new, three years ago, an HD 3450 was a terrible little slug of a graphics device.

Video Card:
NVIDIA GeForce 6 series (6800GT or better: 210, 310, 7100, 7200, 7300, 7400, 7500, 7600 GS, 8200, 8300, 8400 GS, 8500, 9100, 9200, & 9300 are below minimum system requirements)
ATI Radeon X1800 GTO or better (X1300, X1300 Pro, *X1550*, HD 2400, HD 3100, HD 3200, HD 3450, HD 3470, HD 4200, HD 4250, HD 4350, HD 4550, and (probably) HD 5450 are below minimum system requirements)

When DemiUrge rewrote the XBox360 version to suit Windows, and EA announced the System Requirements, those were really screwy regarding video cards, and the above blocks, from the ME-2 Requirements, although I added the 210, and the 5450, are far more practical to consider.  AMD's radeon X1650XT could meet the minimum as well, and here is how poorly an HD 3450 rates compared to that:

Basically, it is only HALF as useful as the X1650 XT.

Add in the poor performance of the obsolete Pentium P4, and it's no wonder you have had problems.

It seems that a mouse can't be a bear after all... I just hope the galaxy won't break while i can't play. Thank you both for your advices. Just a suggestion for a newbie, if i may ask. Should i consider the topic closed (and write accordingly), even if the suggestions cannot be verified at the present time?
