I was wondering if it would be possible to create a BattleMage. I'm looking at starting out with a Warrior but I was wondering if I put more points in Magic would this allow a Warrior to use magic like a mage. So, in other words, would it be worth putting points in Magic for a Warrior class?
Battlemage?

You wont be able to make a battlemage with warrior as starting point.

Only the Mage class can ever have access to spells, since magic is inborn in the DA setting, not taught.
Afaik, the magic stat only enhances potion and such efficiency for warriors and rogues.

"Battlemage" would be served by the Arcane warrior specialisation from the Mage I wager.

Yep. And even then you'd still be more of a caster. Oh, sure, you'd be more resilient and be better with a sword (or what have you) but you wouldn't have any combat skills (as far as I know) beyond your spells. You'd still be a dress wearing stick waving pansy, but you'd be...wearing armor and swinging a sword.
You get the idea!

You wear a dress underneath the armor? Kickass!

Commando might be a better idea.

If possible, I'm going to use to toolset to implement one enemy npc hidden somewhere in the world. He has 1 hp, and when killed, gives the PC a kabillion xp. Then I will be the most kickass warriormage evar.

Yeah sure it's possible from what I've seen.
Specialise in arcane warrior and unlock all the stone spells. They give you a major armor/defense boost.

While i agree that its possible, I don't think the armor spells from stone are a good idea. The arcane warrior abilities grant you a shield ability that I do not believe stacks with similar defensive abilities, and you would already be wearing some armor as an arcane warrior if you wanted to be a 'battlemage'. I'd be inclined to say death hex, frost/fire/telekinetic weapons and some of the crowd control spells would play into the style much cleaner.

There are 2 kinds of battlemages in DAO:
1. high strength to wear better armor, mana cost of spells is normal
2. low strength, AW specialization to wear better armor, mana cost per spell is high
I'd go with the AW battle mage.

Where can you find an AW specialization trainer in the game though?

You can find it on the Dragon Age wiki page. Search for Arcane Warrior:

Please don't encourage people to post spoilers. I'm sick of them, and they don't belong on this forum.
