Hrm my friend got Mordin killed but the math in the OP disagrees with the result. Left Zaaed, Grunt, Thane, Legion, Samara, Jacob, Miranda, Jack, Mordin, Kasumi, which is 4+4+2+2+2+2+2+1+1+1 = 21, divided by 10 characters = 2.1 avg. Yet Mordin died.

Are you sure that your friend didn't send anyone back with the Normandy crew (or what is left of them)? In my first game I made the mistake of sending Zaeed back with the crew and taking Grunt with me to fight the Reaper larva, resulting in Mordin's death.

I just completed the Suicide Mission for the second time. The first time, I lost three team members. Using suggestions on this forum, I went through it again and am proud to say that I lost zero team members this time through. Here is exactly what I did.

Pre-Suicide Mission - Complete all of the loyalty missions before the collectors take your crew. I went a completely paragon route, to the point of where I only had half-a-bar away from filling up the paragon bar before I started the suicide mission.

Now, Jack's loyalty mission was the second to last one I did (last being Legion's). And, because I was pursuing the Miranda relationship, I sided with Miranda in the Jack/Miranda argument that occurs after Jack's loyalty mission. Now, Jack got pissed at me and was thus technically unloyal, however she was the only crew member that wasn't loyal and still did NOT die in the suicide mission.

Suicide Mission Choices -
1) Choose Tali as the tech specialist to go through the pipes.
2) Choose Garrus to lead the first firing team. Take Miranda and Legion in your squad to help Tali through the pipes.
3) Choose Samara to put up the biotic field when maneuvering through the seeker swarms. Choose Miranda and Tali as your squad. Choose Garrus to lead the team through the main passage-way. Choose Jacob to lead the survivors back.
4) Choose Tali and Miranda as your squad to take down the human reaper.

Despite Jack's lack of loyalty, it is still a good bet to have all of the other members loyal to you before the mission. And, if you want the squad members you take with you to take down the human reaper to live, they must be loyal. If you want to live when jumping onto the ship at the end, the team members that helped you take down the human reaper must be alive because Joker cannot pull you back up by himself.

If I forgot something please ask about it. Again, everybody lived even though Jack wasn't loyal to me. I essentially never used her in the suicide mission, as my choices show.

A really useful thread, I only miss one thing: the guides don't show which points at can I select my OWN fireteam again along the suicide mission. (first new selection option is before going to the long walk) Or did I missed it?

I really should've checked before going on the suicide mission. I didn't know that the two you take to fight the Reaper had to be loyal or they'd die.

Lost Miranda that way. Though, she was the only one that I lost.

Thanks I played through the game twice blindly... my first attempt I just made the choices I felt were best, and yes you guessed it I lost Mordin, on my second playthrough I was trying to go for 100% killed by made it out with three characters, cause I didn't know loyal squaddies automatically survived the battle against human-reaper.

Third attempt I did kill everyone. now I will play again and try to save everyone (My first run-through is still the "official" story of Dorothy Shepard, as far as I'm concerned).

So, i've finished ME2 5 times now and every time i finished it a couple of my crewmates died. But thats not because i didn't know how to use them but because i just wanted them to die and not have them in ME3. I went through the suicide mission without the loyalities of Jacob Thane and Zaeed and only Jacob died, then i went into Zaeeds LM and i left him there to die. So, my save for ME3 won't have Jacob and Zaeed. But, to be honest i don't want to miss anything from ME3 so, i started up a female renegade, finished ME1 and now in ME2 i have a question : how can i kill all of my squadmates except Zaeed and Jacob during the suicide mission and survive it ? I gave Legion to Cerberus and Grunt is still in his tank.

Nevermind, i finished it with Jacob Zaeed and Miranda alive, everyone else dead.

Is that possible to kill everyone, but Miranda, Samara, Legion, Garrus, Tali, Thane, Kasumi and Mordin with all squad members being loyal?

Seems my program could still occasionally be useful.

Posted Image

Easy to use:
Left-click on the person to change status (whether loyal, not loyal, not on the team...)
Right-click on the person to toggle dead/alive

Then click "New mission" to start searching for answers. Click "Next report" to get the next answer.

See Readme file for more info, or ask here if you have any questions.

((( Download )))

System requirements
- Windows, 32bit or 64bit (Windows 7, Vista, possibly XP)
- 800x600 minimum screen resolution, but more vertical space recommended
- Java Runtime Environment (JRE) SE 6 or later. Find it here, if you need it.

Version history
Version 1.2
- All-new graphical user interface
- Leader2 and Biotic selections ruled out too many answers.
Hopefully fixed, unfortunately there is a performance trade-off
- More pre-processing to boost performance and eliminate a lot of "pointless" answers
- 4 hold-the-line deaths should now only be possible if
  Shepard also dies

Version 1.1
- Improved accuracy
- Now allows zero-survivor goals, for "Shepard dies"
  scenarios

Version 1.0.
- First release

I was wondering so will Jacob die regardless if he's loyal or not to go through the vents?

I believe so, Planet_Side.

I've done 4 ME2 playthroughs, and I managed to keep everyone alive each time, simply by making sure everyone was loyal, upgrading the Normandy, and following the suggestions for each of the specialist positions.

Tali, Legion or Kasumi for the infiltration in the vents. Miranda, Jacob or Garrus for the fire team.

Jack or Samara/Morinth for the Biotic bubble. Mordin takes the survivors back to the ship. Miranda, Jacob or Garrus again for the second fire team.

Then for the final encounter, take people who don't have very good defense scores. Most of the time I take Tali and Jack, but the most recent playthrough I did, I took Miranda so she could offer the Illusive Man her resignation :P

(and for some reason, every time Shepard checks in with the group holding the line, Thane answers the radio... every time. Odd.)

Anyways, that above should keep everyone alive... If that's what you're aiming for.

Yeah, I wondered about that, too. And tested it.

Ah, so it is a symptom of my ability to keep Thane alive. lol.

Cool, nice work.

Damn it! I cannot kill Jack because I already upgraded Normandy. Any other way to kill her? :(

I have a question which probably has already been answered before but I'll ask it anyway and hopefully someone can give me an answer.

I have completed all loyalty missions, and I have completed all upgrades of the Normandy as well weapons and armor upgrades.

During the mission inside the collector base, I used Jacob as the Biotic to hold up the barrier and I brought Zaeed and Kasumi as my squad mates.

For some weird reason, Kasumi gets picked up by the seeker swarms and I would like to know whether someone has an answer for me.

As I said, I have all upgrades and did all loyalty missions.

Thanks to whoever can give me a clear answer, cheers!

have her be the vent specialist or have her lead the second fire team.

Jacob isn't strong enough to hold the biotic barrier. The only "correct" choices for that are Jack or Samara/Morinth.

Considering your other requirements, no, I don't think so.

She would die as team leader (2nd; chosen right after the biotic selection), but you want Zaeed and Grunt dead, and that needs to happen before the hold-the-line part in your case.

Did you already do both Jack's and Miranda's loyalty missions? Because then I'd suggest losing Jack's loyalty so you can kill her at the final boss fight.

Well, for me, it's always been Jack answering, but on mine, Thane only answered if Jack had been killed. Kind of funny though, because I had four unloyal characters - Jack, Legion, Zaeed, and Miranda holding the line and only Jack died. I had Tali and Garrus in my party when I fought the HR on my umpteenth playthrough.

I want to let half of the crew die on my next playthrough.

Will Kelly die? What about Donnelly and Daniels? And Gardner?
