please address the audio sync problem during cutscenes, the sound is about 1-2 seconds off the video during cutscenes.

I heard Mass Effect 2 on xbox 360 also has the audio off sync at times still. So I guess its not a priority to fix.

The PS3 version is much worse though.  I have experienced a very slight audio lag in the 360 version but it isn't nearly as common and the lag is maybe half a second, it is really only noticeable in scenes with gunfire.

If we hold off on releasing the patch to add more fixes we'll end up delaying solutions to some problems people feel at least as strongly about as you do about this one.
Delaying the patch probably won't get this fixed any faster but it would make other fixes come slower.

The save files are unlocked. Only the settings file is locked, though they explained why (mostly because of Sony) in another thread.

Thanks for letting us know and i agree with what you are saying and support it. However, does this mean a fix for this is in the works down the road for a second patch?
If this gets fixed the only thing left would be the project overlord pixel graphics while driving the hammerhead, unless the improve level streaming fixes this.

I know the QA fellows know about the issue and are keeping an eye out for it, but I don't know much more than that for this particular one.

I'm not aware of something that will fix save data that's already corrupted.
I believe that the fix in the patch doesn't adjust / fix already corrupted data, so much as it prevents the major cause of corruption from occurring in the first place.
But with that said, I don't know the specifics of the changes for the patch, so there might be something I'm not aware of.

So, in short:I doubt it, but I could be wrong.

same situatioin here.
still, there is nothing worse than corrupted data which should be fixed in first place.

corruption first, audio lag in second patch ;)

let them fix these major bugs first and then try to fix the audio sync issue.......the audio sync issue is gonna be longer to fix cause like with the new game + bug they have to go through the whole game and see which cutscenes are out of sync and see if they can fix it

Don't delay the patch! Like some have said lets get the big problems done then move on to other problems later. One step at a time.

I agree just as long as they continue to address the other problems as well which as Jack said they are looking into them so bring on the patch!

Frustrating to see cutscenes that's out of sync. It's like playing the PC version of the game on a low-end PC.

Also, I like to point out that there are times in dialogue situations where one person doesn't finish what they are saying and that's frustrating as well when you're missing key points of what they're saying while having to deal with the dialogue situation.

Good, i'm glad save files are unlocked, i hated that i couldn't back my Dragon Age saves up so i lost them all and i noticed Mass Effect doesn't hav that stupid character limit like Dragon Age did which forced me to delete some characters just to play DLC, glad i can have more than 10 Shepards.

Indeed this audio issue is not recent at all... They have had PLENTY of time to 'reproduce' it

I don't think a patch is coming people. Reproducing the audio glitches has proven to be quite a task for Bioware's tech experts. I think we should call in Tali lol!
