I do want to learn more on why the Colonists dislike the Systems Alliance...

Because the Alliance military strategy is to hold position at relays which only allows them to react after an attack has happened. Yet the colonies are still beholden to Alliance authority, laws, etc.

Batarians cannot hope to survive a full on war with the Alliance. The codex suspects that the Alliance had the bigger fleet by as early as 2160.

I'd bank on the turians. If they only knew what they were stepping to on Shanxi, things would have been very different.

Maybe the salarians too. They probably have a bigger fleet than the Alliance does (esp. by dreadnought count), but unlike the turians, the Alliance will not be able to outsmart them.

And of course humans themselves. All that progress has side effects, you know.

Hey don't stereotype, yeah sure Mordin is smart it doesn't mean all Salarians are smart. You have smart humans and smart Salarians. I would however agree that the Salarians would be a dangerous foe, mainly because those  dirty basterds  would use biological weapons!

http://masseffect.wi...larian#Military

No stereotyping. Salarians have massive military intelligence and epic strategies.

I still think human ingenuity could pawn them. But Salarians would be not only challenging but  a terrifying foe. Its one thing to die in battle its a totally different thing  to fear that any day some Salarian made plague is going to kill you.

Why do people miss the point of keeping the Collector Base?

TIM: "Ensure Human dominance, from the Reapers and beyond".

Inspiring words indeed from.

Humans, there can be no "human dominance" EVER because even if that is achieved... has no one on this forum ever heard the term New World Order? Because that's exactly what the human dominance is implying in the Mass Effect universe and once humanity's new galactic order (for lack of better term) is established, then what? You honestly think humans will be content with that? Greed is humanity's greatest weakness, I know I'm greedy with certain things but at least I admit it. Long story short even if humanity succeeds it won't result in every human being rich and for the better. You can dominate or conquer the galaxy but you can't change what human beings really are on the inside. In the end dominance will end up in the hands of the very few and our children will be the ones who pay the price.

Same goes for every other race out there who thinks that a new galactic order is the way to go.

Either the Turians or Salarians.

The Turians have the military might to compete and it seems that a lot of them still hate/distrust humans and the Salarians have the ingenuity/brains ... I mean, they made the genophage... who's to say that can't do the same, or worse, to the humans?

The salarians, what with the pre-emptive strikes and all. I mean if humas ever consider them a threat, they will already be preparing to unleash their combat/strategy/tech on us...

Asari, because I think the council races are not about to fight a war amongst themselves. The asari have the most influence and the largest economy.

Take Earth for example: China is USA's biggest rival even though it is highly unlikely they will wage an open war.

Liara's and Shepards kids!

Seriously, I don't want human dominance in ME. The "humans are special" thing is bad enough already...why would I want humans to rule the galaxy?

This! Why do humans need to be dominant or genetically "special/diverse?" Why can't we be a species in a galaxy full of species?

Quarians.

EDIT: They can have the Talimancer army join them and then humanity will REALLY be in trouble.
