So I just bought the retail version of the game off of ebay (mint condition) to replace my xbox version since my old xbox crapped out on me years ago and the 360's backwards compatability sucks. Of course I ran into some problems trying to play it but after maxing out the graphics settings and renaming the intro movies that play when you first start up the game like the bioware logo ,which someone suggested on another post, everything runs ok except that the game crashes every few minutes which means constant saving.
Since I have already played the game a dozen times on the xbox I was hoping to get some mods to freshen up the game a bit. So do any of you know of any good sites where I can get some mods before I dive into google and probably end up pulling up a site filled with viruses.
where can i get some good mods

On the Legacy Forums, the subject of modding KotOR was supposed to be off-limits because LucasArts demanded it be so. I always thought that continuing to enforce that after so many years was getting silly . .

That is for PC not for xbox version.
Unfortunately, the Xbox version is (as far as I know) unable to be modded
I used to own the Xbox version, but switched to the PC version which is much better
because of almost no bugs, MUCH faster loading times, AND modding/add-on capabilities!
Soo IMHO I would suggest getting the PC version if you want mods (for example: Be an Ithorian Jedi! How cool is that?

So I started playing this game a couple of days ago (for the first time). The textures were pretty outdated. Not that it mattered that much, but I searched the Internet to see if there was a texture pack and found the following:

I tried it and it was a huge face-lift for the game. At the moment I've only tried it on Tatooine and on hte Ebon Hawk. Haven't been around much since I first installed it. But wow, great job by the creator!
Anyone else tried it?
edit: Man, I must have been playing too much today! I didn't see that this thread was for the 360. Sorry.

I've never really tried anything besides the widescreen mod. PC, of course. I'll give that texture pack a try next time I play. I played Fallout 3 with NMC recently and the higher resolution textures really are nice to have for additional details, even though these games aren't about graphics at all!
A lot of older games also have unofficial patches and restored content mods. I've heard of such for KotOR 2, but I wonder if anyone has gone out of their way to do such for the original?

Well, I think I have to try it some more first. Have seen some issues with it on Dantooine just now, with some effects activated. Maybe I have to revert my "huge" statement after the initial feeling I had. Oh well, it's easy to try and remove if it's not to my liking, so why complain. Would be nice to hear if someone has tried it over a whole playthrough.

Anybody could point me to a direction regarding custom head models (maybe done for request) ?
Problem is that I suck at modelling and texturing but I can do pretty much everything else with KOTOR tool for example. I'd need a custom head model badly.
