You can get him killed in ME2 aswell. If you tell him to ****** off he tries to catch some kids riding on top of a bus. Falls off, is hit by oncoming traffic and falls into a turbine of a bio-mass recycling facility. Is it sick that I also find that amusing? This guy has the worst luck.

Personally, the only reason I have for keeping that miserable bastard alive is that I want to see what shenanigans he'll get up to in ME3.

I kind of hope he does something right in ME3. Like something heroic which saves a colony. Shepard will have to shake his hand and tell him that he actually did a good job and is a hero.Stormy-B wrote...

As much of an annoying fanboy as he is, I can't hate Conrad and I can't find it in my heart to be mean to him...at least not on my canon playthrough.
I'd love to see him actually be the hero for once, though.

if you complete his sidequest in ME2 he does do something right. Just listen for news about him on Illium, it's kind of sweet really.Interactive Civilian wrote...

But yeah, I know what you mean, him being a "big guddamm hero" for once would be pretty nice

Heh... My first play-through ever with a default maleShep, I found myself thinking the same thing. At first, I was like, "meh, he wants my autograph. A little creepy, but ok. I guess... maybe." I was a little suspicious. Then I met him and he asked for my picture, and I got really suspicious. The "What could be the harm in talking to him?" quest description probably added to that. I thought he was trying to get the info to forge my identity for some reason as well. So, I told him to get lost.shatteredstar56 wrote...
I played the hero to him at first, then let him die and went back and helped him. I thought he was going to use my signature to frame Shepard for some crime or something.
He looked like I'd just killed his puppy, and I felt like the biggest jerk in the universe.
After that, I've always been nice to him. I give him the "Knowing people like you are living their lives at home is what keeps me going out here" talk in ME1 and I let him think he helped me bust a terrorist in ME2. I just can't help it.
:innocent:

I wasn't expecting him to take that route, though.

I was thinking identity theft or something myself but kept going anyway cause I figure if he was up to something I would get a quest out of it *shrug*

He got himself killed when I took my second character through the game, it was mentioned over a news report I think. And yet HE RETURNED in ME2 like nothing ever happened? WTF?! So I shot him in the foot. Too bad it wasn't the head.
He didn't show up in ME2 for me.

It's bugged. If you tell him to F.O. before his third request (make him a spectre), you can overhear the report of his death in the Elevator News, but he will reappear again on his spot in the Wards.
The only foolproof way of getting rid of him is to give him an autograph, let him take a picture of you, and only then tell him to get lost.

There's goods upgrades there ( A Heavy Skin Weave Upgrade ) .
It's a bit stupid that in PS3 Verner does not appear in Illium to get a discount at the shop .

I usually let Conrad Verner live too. Yeah, he's a pathetic fanboy, but I don't think he deserves to die. Come to think of it, I didn't even know he could die until I read this thread. I rarely stop to listen to Illium's news reports; I'll have to do that next time I'm there.

Actually, he does something right in ME2! If you tell him he "didn't screw up/thanks for caring" you get a news announcement about him forming "Shepards", a service organization to help survivors of piracy and slavery rejoin society.Interactive Civilian wrote...

I thought that was pretty ----ing cool!
(I also could never bring myself to be cruel to Conrad. He's "us".)
