Anyone know how the base damage/second value for Blizzard is calculated?  In the spell_constants_h.nss file, Blizzard uses the following string:

BLIZZARD_DAMAGE_FRACTION

However changing the aforementioned's numerical value dosen't appear to have any discernable affect on the damage the spell inflicts per second.  I also couldn't find any reference to Blizzard in the spell_aoe_duration or spell_aoe_instant files.

Similar type of question with regards to Chain Lightning.  I can't find any reference to this spell in any of the spell scripts, unless it's the Storm of the Century entry.  I experimented with the STORM_OF_THE_CENTURY_DAMAGE_FACTOR value, just in case, but it dosen't seem to have any effect on Chain Lightning's damage.

1-31-11:  Anyone?

Blizzard and Chain Lightning have their own spell scripts - under Spells/Unique.

After changing the constant above, you will have to recompile these scripts and place them in your core/override to see the changes in-game.

To answer your initial question, Blizzard's DoT is calculated by this - (100.0f + GetCreatureSpellPower(oCreator)) * BLIZZARD_DAMAGE_FRACTION
