Nah not ineffective, Just least favourite as a person. Based on their personality and their actions

Favorite companion--Alistair. He's funny, honest, good hearted, and sticks to his principles.

Least Favorite--Velanna. A remorseless mass murderer with virtually no redeeming features.

Favorite NPC--Hmm... This is tough, there are a lot I like. I'm going to go with Fergus, though. One of the few truly decent nobles in Ferelden. And my PC's brother, so maybe I'm just a little biased.

Least Favorite NPC--Rendon Howe. I most often play a Cousland, so how could it be otherwise?

No way! Really? OMG, I LOVE that!



Fav comp = Really hard to choose, but.. Shale. Kickass fighter, morally grey and, for my money, the funniest character.

Least fav comp = Oghren, probably. He's a cringy letch after Orzammar, and you get him too late to feel like you really bond with him.

Fav NPC = Flemeth. Desperately hoping she doesn't get turned into a 2D villian in sequels.

Least fav NPC = All children characters. Your Cousland nephew, the lost boy in Lothering, Amalia... That sickly faux-innocence they all have is so nauseating. Connor I could tolerate, but only because he was possessed.

Favorite Companion: Tie between Sten and Leliana. Leli is adorable and Sten is a badass, a hilarious badass.



Least Favorite Companion: Velanna. She's a (rhymes with witch)



Favorite NPC: Duncan. His death scene is the most moving scene in the game for me.



Least Favorite NPC: Tie between Rendon Howe and Loghain(I just can't see him as a sympathetic character the way other players do).

Varel's awesome. Sadly, I think he always dies. There's rumours of a slide where he goes on to lead the silver order (I'd guess if you don't have Alec join the army) but I suspect it is just a rumour, like the Bella marrying Teagan one.

I have only played origins with shale added.

Favorite companion.. Zevran.. I find him funny, cute (with my modded version...and very deep)....Alistair is a not to far behind second. he's cute, funny, and adorable.

Least favorite companion- Wynn. My characters...it depends on the character, but I myself find her very annoying

Favorite NPC- Shianni,(I'm sure I spelled that wrong) and Duncan



Least favorite NPC- Vhann(I spelled that wrong too), Howe, and Logaine

Least Favourite Companion: Probably Wynne, although I appreciate all of them.
Favourite NPC: Shianni
Least Favourite NPC: Cammen. Howe, Caladrius and Vaughan are all villains and therefore must die. Cammen is annoying. I don't even like speaking with him.

Awakening

Favourite Companion: Sigrun. If romance were allowed, that would change to either Nathaniel or Anders. But Sigrun is just a delight.
Least Favourite Companion: Velanna. Her voice actress is great. Her character though is just too...
Favourite NPC: Wade and Herren- it's two-fer, get over it.
Least Favourite NPC: Seranni. I'm not a huge fan of the partial information reveal. She embodies that. It's worse if you're playing a mage character as you can't use force field to keep her in one spot.

Favourite companion – Morrigan. Can’t top a redemption story and anyone who thinks Morrigan isn't redeemed better be able to outrun a mabari. The affectionate greeting Morrigan and Dog give each other at the end of Witch Hunt is maybe my favourite scene in the whole series.

Favourite npc – Gotta agree with Avilia - the two K’s are tops.

Unfavourite companion – the Preachy One. EDIT: It was Oghren for a long time but that changed when I saw his nightmare in the Fade.

Unfavourite npc – Isolde. Someone oblivious to the harm their selfish behaviour caused is more detestable than an out-and-out villain.

There's no character in DA:O I truly hated. I grew to strongly dislike Zathrian.

People make mistakes, they dont usually cost as many lives as hers did. Then she blames everything on Jowan even though she is as much to blame.

I had to pick companions, since it's not really fair to me to pick NPC's. They don't' really have enough time for me to judge them.

I don't hate her, and by willingly offering her life to end the mess she started she does redeem herself in my eyes, but nonetheless, she's one the people I like the least in the game.

When I tried a playthrough of the Mage Origin, I could never understand how Jowan could love a woman with such ugly, ugly hair.

On that note, I should have named Cullen as one of my least favourite NPCs. Honestly, I don't see what the big deal is about the guy. Oh, he's got a crush on you and is so sweetly charming! But now he's been turned crazy by blood mages and wants to kill you! It's a real storybook romance, all right.
