I'm goin from my least favorite first to my ultimate favorite last
hmm least favorite:
Oghren, after playing the game off n on for over a yr he still hasn't grown on me n thats Origins n Awakenings.

Wynne, sorry but she can be really annoying.

I'm in between with Leliana, never played her mod, never had an interest so all I have to go by is what I get in Origins.  Some of my females find her annoyin but all of my males find her interesting, maybe dateable lol.

Zevrans another that I'm not sure about.  He makes for a really kewl friend for either of my male/female pc's but I've never had an interest in taking it farther then friendship.

Sten I have no problems with.

Shale, she's adorable lol

Morrigan, now she's intriguing, mysterious, sexy for my male pc's, they fall for her everytime.  Turns out to be my female pc's best friend.  Morrigan is in a world of her own n it's fun tryin to bring her out of her shell. 

N last but not least Alistair.  I totally adore Alistair .  He always wins my female pc's 's n becomes my male pc's best friend


Loghain I won't even bother with, he never lives.

So those are my least favorite to ultimate favorite lol

Isolde sacrificing herself is the least she could do after her decisions resulted in the deaths of many of the Redcliffe villagers.

Wynne: Preachy, naggy, self-absorbed and tactless HAG. Yes, I always take her along. For her abilities and the content. However, her useless advice, her ridiculous assumptions......MADDENING!

MEH:

Leliana: Sweet. But sadly underdeveloped and I'd have preferred less chit chat & ever long tales in favor of character and relationship developing dialogue.

GOOD:

Shale. Entertaining. Witty. Great writing. Weak personal quest & I never use her all that much, having Alistair/Loghain as a tank.

Oghren:

Has his moments. Esp. the moments in camp. Personal quest was blah though. However: May the stone turn red...etc. is one of the most beautiful lines in the game.

OH YEAH:

Zevran:

With ZDF installed, a definite contender for the romance crown. There is a depth to him, that actually must be discovered and the romance is heartbreaking, yet so very fulfilling. The encounter in Denerim still moves me a great deal. His banters are among the best of the crop. I would have liked more content there.

Sten:

One word: Kadan. Makes my little heart melt. One of the most exquisitely written dialogue here. Love his no nonsense attitude. Here too I would have loved more content.

Puppy:

Who doesn't love Puppy?

Alistair:

My Wardens react very differently to him. But his character is beautifully written, his involvement is excellent. His VO is some of the very best EVER, esp. when hurt or angry. A lovely romance. His immaturity, flashes of self centered attitude and inability to see the bigger picture.....they tend to sour my Warden's view of him. At the end of the day, I love him a lot, despite it all.

Morrigan:

What can I say about her that hasn't been said by others (Much more eloquently at that)? With MRP installed, she is even more brilliant. Love her or hate her, she is one of the greatest Bioware characters ever created.

Loghain:

He did not make it into the Top Ten Characters That Shaped The Last Decade list for nothing. Voiced by the man who made gaming history as Kain, his character is both infuriating and enthralling, fascinating and heartbreaking....the most polarizing character of the series. He is either loved or hated, there is rarely ever any middle ground. His VO is among the greatest ever, what that man can do when it comes to molding a phrase is an art. Never mind all the additional lore in the novels. Three quotes, one by him and another two by others, are all I will add to round up my evaluation:

"Without Loghain, there would be no Ferelden to defend!" (Ser Cauthrien)

"Please, I have done so much wrong! Allow me to do one last thing right!" (Loghain Mac Tir)

"Conscience...? You dare speak to me of conscience? Only when you have
felt the full gravity of choice should you dare to question my judgment!

Hate: Leliana (too shallow), Wynne (too preachy), Zevran (don't like easy men), Alistair (too goofy - if I'd romanced a guy like him and he would give me one of his stupid, not-funny-at all answers while trying to flirt, everything would be over even before it started) and the dog



Fav NPC: Jowan, Bhelen, Sandal, Caridin



Hated NPC: Isolde (that inane screeching drives me up the wall), Connor, Loghain



Favorite companion for my thoroughly modded DAO: Jowan and Cullen, the latter only as a dangerous fighter/tank and Jowan 'cuz he's my favorite char anyway.



Awakening:



Fav companion: none

hated companion: all of them, they're just annoying



favorite NPC: that grumpy mage you have to collect seeds for. I've forgotten her name. Her lines are just awesome.



hated NPC: dunno, I don't really care about Awakenings

Favourite party member: Zevran - I HATE it when I eave him out of anything



Least favourite partty member - Leilana but I think that's purely becaue she amuses me the least. It was originally a tie between Oghren and Shale but I like both of them now I have expereinced their humour more. I'm tempted to go with Loghain but I've only had him for a very brief time so I shouldn't just his companion worth againsthis betrayal of Cailan...



Favourite NPC - I have so many so let's go for...Teagan because he's a decent guy. I also really like Duncan, Wade and Cailan (who shares my love of glory and suffers for it, poor guy - I was gutted to discover his death for the first time as I had been hoping to have my character flirt with him later)



Least favourite NPC - Bhelan and the Arl of Denerim's son for raping Shianni

Fav party member - Zevran (my char just LOVES when people call her deadly sex godess) 

Least fav party member -  Wynne (She is just too interested in my char's sexual life. Creepy...)
 Fav NPC - Irving (Sly fox indeed )  and Duncan (Hot )

Least fav - Broodmother. She just offends my aesthetic sensitivity.

Least favorite character: Howe (though I LOVE to hate him so not sure if that counts as a 'least favorite') Plus he gets points for Tim Curry-voice.

Favorite companion: Alistair (with a close second by BFF Zevran)

Awakenings:
Favorite: Nathaniel Howe (Love that angst with a Cousland run through)
Least favorite: tie between Oghren and Velanna. One is just obnoxious and it's a pity since he's pretty cool in Origins. The other is a whackjob homicidal maniac.

I like Oghren more since I started Awakenings. I'm on the final battle now though I did end up inadvertently skipping a load of the non essential missions. But as a first run it wasn't quite what I wanted it to be so I don't mind it not being perfect and have allowed it to continue instead of reverting to a previous save. Hoping to finish before I go to bed despite being absolutely exhausted tonight! I don't dislike any of the Awakenings companions but I'm gutted I can't talk to them whenever I feel like. I will have to get to know them better in another playthrough.

Favourite Companion: Alistair ...and the rest of the Gaider-crew (Morrigan, Zevran, Shale....especially Shale <3)
Least Favourite Companion: Wynne- preachy old wench ....and Loghain.  Well technically he isn't a companion since I have recruited him once. He well written, I admit, but I can't get past the total indifference toward him. So Loghain= Meh.
Favourite NPC: Kylon, Shianni, Kardol.
Least Favourite NPC: Isolde, Eamon, Vaughan, Tamlen (hands off from the mirror >__>) and Cammen. He is an utter disgrace for a Dalish....or rather said for existing.

Awakening

Favourite Companion: Sigrun, Anders. That's it.
Least Favourite Companion: Velanna. She is arghl *raaageee* My Dalish would love to tell her that her bondmate is a human. ...Just to spite her. Heh
Favourite NPC: The guy who rather jumps of the cliff than to fight Lenya. Smartest man in Ferelden.
Least Favourite NPC: The architect. His plans? Plain epic fail. *facepalm*
