I just updated my system on my PS3 before I wanted to continue playing Dragon Age. So I started the game and pressed start when I entered the main menu, but now it's frozen at the point where it checks the saves and I can't go further. I restarted my game multiple times, but it just won't let me go further.
I really have no clue what this could be. My other games work just fine.
Can't access the main menu?

Does it actually freeze? Or does the loading seem to just go on and on? If it's the latter just wait. After updates it can take up to five minutes for the main menu to load. I've no idea why that is, but it's always been that way for me.

I'm having this same issue.
I just beat Origins, I installed the Awakening Disc, then proceeded to actually try to start playing it. Main Menu screen loads up, box pops up that says "Checking Save Data..." and it stays there. I've let it sit and "load" for half an hour thus far and it hasn't moved on.
