What do I have to do before the illuisive man gives me mission?

I think you have to recruit everyone from the dossiers that TIM has given you, regardless of loyalty or not.

You don't have the option to their loyalty missions until after the Collector Ship anyway. But the trigger should be recruiting everyone on his first list of dossiers. This does not include Kasumi or Zaeed as they were DLC and you can recruit and do their loyalty missions before finishing the recruitment of the others.

That doesnt make sense i was able to do that mission like right after i did Horizon. Was problay like one mission in between the two.

But i am on Illium so i plan to recruit my dossier there before i speak to TIM again.


But assuming you did all the side missions available to you before Horizon, should only take one side mission after Horizon.

I just know with my current character I am playing, that the only member I haven't recruited is Jack and all missions including Overlord, loyalty for Kasumi and Zaeed, and Firewalker have been completed. TIM hasn't called me to the briefing room yet. I don't see any other side missions at this time. Don't think it has anything to do with class or alignment.



Horizon does happen before the Collector Ship now I think about it, but I haven't even seen that yet with this current playthrough.

In order to trigger Horizon you have to have done Korlus, Purgatory, and recruited both Garrus and Mordin.

In order to trigger the Collector Ship you have to do five missions. In my games I usually recruit Tali, Thane, Samara, and do Miranda and Jacob's loyalty missions. You don't have to do recruiting or loyalty missions, AFAIK, the missions you do can just be N7 missions.

This Just isnt true. You dont have to do collector ship before you can do the loyalty missions. And you dont need all 8 squad memeber, which I already do.

I have no idea then.  I was thinking you didn't have the "option" to do the loyalty missions until after the collector ship.  Perhaps I was thinking of Horizon.

It's true for my games. I'm thinking you've struck bug.

I've played it this way many times. Tali, Jacob's loyalty mission, Samara, Thane, Miranda's loyalty mission. And then TIM contacts me about the Collector Ship (this is actually where I'm at in my current playthrough just finished Miranda's loyalty mission and Kelly told me TIM wants to talk to me).

One time I did the N7 mission on Joab, since it's in the same star cluster as Jacob's loyalty mission, and I wasn't able to do Miranda's loyalty mission pre-Collector Ship, cause TIM contacted me after I recruited Thane. This is what has lead me to believe that you only need to do 5 missions to trigger it. If you've already done 5 missions and it still hasn't trigger then that sounds like a bug to me.

Just what missions have you done?

5 missions actually mean five recruitment/loyalty missions.

I don't know if the DLC character loyalty missions count for that matter.

And if you land -for example- on the krogan homeworld, you can do both the loyalty missions there even if it was your fifth destination.

At least this stood true for my playthroughs.

I was going to do Overlord missions before getting Jack but the HammerHead was half freezing on me and that was after i just turned on the console. But as long as i wasnt using the Hammerhead the game ran perfectly fine.

What Exile and Fiery said is correct.



The trigger is that you need 8 active squadmates (Grunt in his lifepod doesn't count) and have done 5 missions (whether they be recruitment, loyalty, N7 or other 'mission complete' missions) post-Horizon to trigger the Collector Ship mission.



So technically if you wanted you could get the original dossiers+the 2 DLC characters, do 5 N7 missions (or just do all the 'Firewalker' missions) and that'll trigger the Collector Ship mission.



Anyone who states they have done more missions either has hit a big glitch or doesn't have 8 active squadmates.
