 I ave unlocked the specilizations in awakning ( example battle mage). it dosnt say its unocked but i cant chose it. it remains gray. i bought the books for shadow, battlemage and guardian. it wont let me use them

Given the spelling mistakes it's rather difficult to actually understand what your problem is. As such what I will suggest as a solution is purely guesswork (and the simplest possible 'solution').

Have you tried using the books you bought yet?

my fault typos i was typing fast. alright



i go and buy the books and on top of my computer screen it says it has been unlocked. i go to add a specialization point into the specialization but it is grey, so it wont let me select it. The books i have already used.

Protip: always save before buying books or using books.

yeah i know that tip thats what i always did, buy book then reload.

and yes my character is level 23

OK. Another to consider: do you get a specialization point to use?

yes i have 1 point right now

In which case the question becomes...can you use it?

yes. for example i have every warrior specialization unlocked. i'm currently using berserker and reaver. i can put that last point in templer or champion but it wont let me put it in spirit warrior or guardian.

I'm pretty much out of suggestions I have to admit. But do you have another character in Awakenings so you can check whether you can select the specialization for them?

Once the book on Battlemage is purchased, it unlocks the specialization. Like potions recipes, It does not put anything into your inventory. However, Battlemage requires your character to be a mage... if your character already has berserker and reaver... that means they're a warrior, not a mage, right?

yeah a couple but the only one that could possibly cause this is the awakening OC one and the all specializations unlocked( only needed that for arcane warrior and blood mage in origins). I think i disabled them both and tried to see if i had the specializations in awakening but it didn't work

Mods can cause all sorts of unexpected things... BTW... you're patched to 1.04, right?

well son, you´re doomed.

I think your best bet would be to uninstall it, then install it again.

if you´re willing to endure that =P also, no mods this time.

yeah thats my last resort. oh well, the only mods i really used was only for my 2nd play through which im done with so its all good. thanks for everything guys
