The Official Dragon Age 2 Strategy Guide, made by the fine folks at Prima,  is now available for pre-order through Gamespot. Also available, and even cooler imo, is the Collectors Edition Dragon Age 2 Official Strategy Guide, which in addition to all teh gameplay help you could need, contains extra art and behind the scenes content.

Both editions will be available when Dragon Age 2 ships on March 8. Pre0order now through Gamespot or check with your local retailer to see if they are carrying them.

The collectors edition guide is also avaliable at Amazon for $10 cheaper.  Just find a $2 or so item (I suggest pens) and get free shipping!

Please be warned that this is 100 pages shorter than the DA:O guide, so if you like reading thick guides be prepard to be disappointed!

Oh noes, it's only 300 pages, what has the world come to !

The cover on the collector edition looks sick.

Still... a waste of money, as far as I'm concerned. :P

Definitely won't be buying one at release. I intend to have my first playthrough be as free from Meta-gaming as possible.

Spellcheck is for the weak.

Chris's powers are such that if he mis-spells a word the English language changes to make Chris's spelling the correct spelling. Yes, Chris is that awesome.

I pre-ordered my collector's edition Prima guide from Amazon last week when it was first available. I ordered the Collector's edition Prima Guide for DAO and it was amazing.

On facebook they have it labeled as the strategy guide for the PC.

Is there just one strategy guide for the PC, just one that covers all Platforms, or just one for each separate platform?

Chris misspells because he's evil.   I already knew about this cuz I put down some money for it when I was last at GameStop, lol...didn't realise they had it available at Amazon for cheaper, though.  :hmmm:

I get the guides for the extra lore and artwork content they have.

Hmm - while I love the Premium edition of the DA:O guide (very nicely done, lots of good art and extra detail) it was spoiler-tacular. I may have to wait one playthrough before getting it.

I suppose that's the nature of the beast with guide, though some (like the FF13 one) manage to focus on the strategy without revealing key story elements.

There are two sides to strategy guides in my view. On the one hand, it is very fun to make sure you've seen "everything" after your first or second play-through. On the hand, once your "done" with the game or move on to another game, you just have a large thick 300 page book lying around with no real purpose. Just depends I guess.

I don't ussually buy a Stragegy Guide, but this one seems interesting!
Any news if they will be released in the Netherlands and the rest of Europe?

Yes. Amazon.UK allready have it for sale.

Strange though that the difference in price between CE and normal guide is so small, on Amazon UK the CE guide is only 4£ more expensive. Not that I'm complaining, just though it to be strange.
